Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Remote Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize logistics operations, including transportation, inventory coordination, order fulfillment, vendor management, and shipment tracking. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing logistics activities remotely, coordinating across multiple teams and time zones, and using technology to maintain efficient, cost-effective supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day logistics and transportation operations remotely.

Coordinate shipments, deliveries, pickups, and transportation schedules.

Monitor orders and shipments from dispatch through final delivery.

Communicate with carriers, suppliers, warehouses, customers, and internal teams.

Track shipments and proactively resolve delays, damages, shortages, and other logistics issues.

Manage relationships and performance with third-party logistics providers and transportation partners.

Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment activities.

Review logistics costs and identify opportunities to reduce transportation and operational expenses.

Maintain accurate logistics records, reports, and documentation.

Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including delivery performance, freight costs, order accuracy, and fulfillment times.

Ensure compliance with company policies, transportation regulations, and applicable safety requirements.

Identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements to increase productivity and service quality.

Collaborate with procurement, operations, customer service, finance, and sales teams.

Prepare regular operational reports and provide management with updates and recommendations.

Qualifications

Bachelor s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

3+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or operations management.

Strong knowledge of shipping, freight, inventory, order fulfillment, and transportation processes.

Experience managing vendors, carriers, and third-party logistics providers.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a remote environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets and logistics/ERP software.

Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
