Representing some of Stryker's most innovative technologies, this role will lead the Trade Shows function for the Ortho Tech Division, responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and continuous evolution of trade shows, related customer events and executive engagements, activations, and other key meetings. Working closely with marketing, commercial, cross-divisional partners and leadership teams to create innovative, customer-centric experiences that strengthen brand presence, differentiate Stryker in the marketplace, and support the achievement of business objectives. Drives best practices, operational excellence, and long-term event strategy to maximize engagement, impact, and return on investment across the division.

What you will do:

  • Define and lead the long-term vision and enterprise strategy for Ortho Tech's trade show and event ecosystem, establishing a forward-looking model that positions the division as a leader in customer engagement, experience innovation, and brand reputation.
  • Own the end-to-end Ortho Tech trade show portfolio, setting priorities, determining investment strategy, and ensuring each engagement delivers measurable business impact, strengthens brand reputation, drives differentiation, and creates competitive advantage.
  • Architect and elevate transformative, customer-centric experiences that showcase Stryker's innovation, deepen strategic relationships, and redefine how the division engages customers across industry congresses, proprietary events, and executive platforms.
  • Lead the execution of complex, high-visibility, multi-division trade shows and activations, ensuring operational excellence, brand consistency, and a best-in-class representation of the Stryker brand across all touchpoints.
  • Serve as the primary orchestrator and influencer across partner divisions, establishing operating models, governance, and engagement frameworks that enable shared booth environments, drive alignment on strategy and messaging, and ensure coordinated execution and investment across participating businesses.
  • Influence and align senior stakeholders across divisions and functions, driving adoption of best practices, elevating expectations, and positioning Ortho Tech as a strategic leader within Stryker's broader events and experiences landscape.
  • Build and scale proprietary Ortho Tech events and platforms from the ground up, creating differentiated experiences that expand the division's presence, strengthen customer loyalty, and unlock new avenues for growth.
  • Establish and institutionalize best-in-class frameworks, standards, and playbooks to enable scalability, consistency, and continuous evolution of the event function.
  • Champion integrated, omnichannel engagement strategies in partnership with Marketing Communications and Commercial teams to maximize impact before, during, and after events while reinforcing a strong, consistent market-facing brand reputation.
  • Own performance measurement and portfolio optimization, including defining and tracking KPIs, driving qualified lead generation, evaluating ROI and commercial impact, and using data-driven insights to continuously refine strategy, investment, and execution.
  • Act as a catalyst for innovation and change, introducing new formats, technologies, and engagement models that move the organization beyond traditional trade show approaches.
  • Lead additional strategic initiatives that advance the growth, maturity, and influence of the Ortho Tech Events & Experiences function.

What you need (required):

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 10+ years of work experience
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while delivering on established timelines
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and effectively communicating to external audiences in a highly regulated industry/environment

Preferred:

  • 7+ years trade show/event experience preferred
  • MBA
  • Certified Meeting Planner, qualified to take CMP exam, or equivalent experience preferred but not essential
  • Expertise in SharePoint 365, MS Office, Zoom, Teams, and Monday.com

  • USN: $118,000 - $196,700 USD Annual

  • US5: $123,900 - $206,500 USD Annual

  • US10: $129,800 - $216,400 USD Annual

  • US15: $135,700 - $226,200 USD Annual

  • US20: $141,600 - $236,000 USD Annual

  • US30: $153,400 - $255,700 USD Annual
