Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team at Synergy Counseling in Amarillo, Texas. This is a full-time remote position within our Hospice Center, focusing on providing essential support and intervention for families with young children experiencing developmental delays or disabilities. In this remote role, you will be working closely with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to early intervention services. Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Conducting thorough evaluations and assessments of children aged zero to three to determine developmental needs.
  • Actively participating in the development and implementation of Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP), working collaboratively with families and team members.
  • Monitoring and documenting progress as part of a team to assess the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Providing emotional support and guidance to families, equipping them with strategies to enhance their child's development through evidence-based practices.
  • Utilizing the coaching model and natural environment teaching techniques to facilitate learning experiences.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant federal and state regulations, prioritizing the health and safety of the families and individuals served.
  • Establishing a trusting relationship with children and families to promote a healthy and engaging learning environment.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses on a critical client population: infants and toddlers with disabilities or delays. You will provide not only assessments and interventions but also educational support, helping families understand and contribute to their child's development. By collaborating with parents and caregivers, you will play a vital role in their child's early learning and skill acquisition, addressing physical, cognitive, social/emotional, and communication milestones.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A Master’s Degree or Doctorate in Social Work.
  • Current licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) issued by the Department of Public Health.
  • A valid driver's license to facilitate travel as needed for client visits.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage your time effectively in a remote setting.
