Job: Senior Learning and Development Specialist
Duration: 1+ Month
Job Description:
12/31 Hard set end date to start- potential to extend or change depending on business needs
Hours: 8-5/9-6 20 hours per week on any days M-F depending on business needs with flex
THIS IS a 100% REMOTE ROLE
Responsibilities:
  • Design, create, and deliver scalable learning through e-learning courses, workshops, and other trainings.
  • Familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices to design engaging eLearning material in adaptive learning methods.
  • Partner with Talent Development to create and deliver leadership development programs that align with company values, strategy, and priorities, including professional development for leaders and new manager training.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and liaise with experts regarding development needs.
  • Evaluate, create, organize, and execute learning strategies/programs based on development needs.
  • Own the design, development, implementation, and iteration on courses and programs for a variety of audiences and delivery types, including classroom-based, online self-paced, blended, mobile, and peer-to-peer methodologies.
  • Implement various learning methods companywide (e.g., coaching, job-shadowing, online training).
  • Assess the success of development plans and help employees make the most of learning opportunities.
  • Help managers develop their team members through career pathing.
  • Design and develop training programs (outsourced and/or in-house).
  • Assess training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers and vendors.
  • Develop unique training programs to fulfill workers' specific needs to maintain or improve job skills.
  • Create and/or acquire training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials.
  • Maintain knowledge of the latest trends in training and development.

Qualifications:
  • 6 years of experience with proven success in a similar role.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record of operating independently, demonstrating creativity, strong attention to detail, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to analyze logically and navigate ambiguity.
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles, theories, concepts, and development technologies or modalities, practical experience, and application of training development models.
  • Able to manage a design project from end to end.
  • Ability to meet aggressive timelines for deliverables, with accuracy, quality, and attention to detail.
  • Organized with a strong ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Clear and concise verbal and presentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, able to juggle multiple projects at once.

  • Professional Certifications (Clifton Strengths Finder, DISC, Situational Leadership, MBTI, etc.).
  • Extensive knowledge of instructional design, eLearning, and video editing software (Articulate 360 preferred & Camtasia).
  • Proven ability to complete a full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate).
  • Expertise in traditional and modern job training methods and techniques.
  • Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments.
  • Project familiarity with systems/software training and compliance training.
  • Expertise in Leadership 101 (foundational leadership fundamentals).
  • Industry certification(s) or prior experience building training within a technical environment.
