The Self Care Learning Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dynamic team. This position offers a fully remote work setting, allowing for flexibility in your work schedule while maintaining a professional connection with staff and clients. • Establish and nurture a positive, trusting rapport with patients, creating a safe space for open communication.
• Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose mental health disorders and develop tailored treatment plans that align with individual patient needs.
• Conduct regular therapy sessions with individuals and groups, adapting techniques and approaches to suit diverse client backgrounds and situations.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to ensure the highest level of care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to refer clients to external specialists for further support as needed, fostering a comprehensive approach to mental health care.
• Document patient interactions and outcomes meticulously within our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

In this role, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals and families grappling with issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, trauma, and life transitions. Our clients come from various backgrounds, and your ability to adapt to their unique circumstances will be vital for providing effective support.

• Valid and active State licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist is required.
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is mandatory.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, essential for navigating a diverse caseload and administrative responsibilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with clients and collaborate with staff.

• Experience in providing individual and group therapy is preferred, showcasing your ability to tailor your approach based on client needs.
• Familiarity with a variety of therapy modalities and interventions, particularly those focused on family systems and relationships, will be beneficial.
• Knowledge of digital tools and platforms for telehealth sessions is advantageous, given the remote work structure.
