The Manager, Learning and Development, leads the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of learning experiences that align with business goals and enhance associate performance. This role involves collaborating with business partners from the learning services and facilitation teams to prioritize learning needs, develop structured rollout strategies, and ensuring compliance with governance standards. The position oversees program effectiveness through performance analysis and fosters a culture of continuous learning and adaptability.
About the team:
The Walmart Home Office Academy Planning team drives the governance and operational readiness required to deliver world-class learning experiences for participants across Bentonville, AR, Sunnyvale, CA, and Hoboken, NJ. This role may require occasional travel to these hubs. Collaborating with content and facilitation partners, the team implements learning strategies that enhance leadership and operational readiness as well as career development. Emphasizing disciplined planning, stakeholder alignment, and risk management, the team ensures timely and scalable program execution. Operating in a dynamic environment, it continuously improves processes and supports change management to strengthen talent development and drive business performance throughout the organization.
What you'll do:
  • Oversee the governance and end-to-end readiness of enterprise learning programs, ensuring content development, facilitator preparedness, and operational execution are aligned to deliver exceptional learner experiences and business results.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with cross-functional stakeholders to advance learning initiatives, align priorities, and ensure seamless execution.
  • Oversee the planning, logistics, and execution of enterprise learning events, including Spark Growth, Reset and Resilience, and Fellow Academy.
  • Ensure all learning programs and activities comply with company policies, governance standards, and ethical practices.
  • Leverage data and performance metrics to evaluate program effectiveness, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive continuous enhancement of the learner experience and business results.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
