Work Location: This position may be performed on a hybrid basis for candidates located near one of our office locations or fully remote for candidates residing in approved states outside of commuting distance. We are currently hiring in the following states/jurisdictions: California, District of Columbia (DC), Florida, Illinois, Maryland, New York, Tennessee, Texas, and Washington State.

We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated, and detail-oriented Principal Legal Analyst with sound judgment and strong analytical and critical thinking skills to support client engagements and join our team handling third-party requests for user data. The ideal candidate must be a subject matter expert across multiple types of legal requests and possess deep knowledge of applicable laws, policies, and compliance standards. This individual is adept at reviewing and assisting with complex team escalations and identifying opportunities to optimize the engagement.

What You Will Do:

  • Support client engagements by responding to all types of third-party requests for user data, reviewing client materials to identify gaps, working collaboratively to implement revisions, and assisting with escalations.

  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of applicable laws including laws relevant to client guidance.

  • Analyze and respond to all types of legal requests for user data in accordance with client policies and procedures, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

  • Review and assist with team escalations, seek guidance when needed, and document for alignment.

  • Assesses client materials to identify gaps, evaluate and implement procedural revisions, and escalate policy issues.

  • Drive accountability and alignment by participating in QA, analyzing results, and proposing training to close skill gaps and strengthen the team.

  • Partner with the senior supervisor to analyze engagement data, identify trends, and calibrate productivity benchmarks.

  • Supports successful client onboarding by quickly learning client policies and contributing to the optimization of client engagement.

  • Handle sensitive content with professionalism while holding others to the same standard.

Your Capabilities & Experience:

  • Associate’s degree or higher preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience in the legal or compliance field.

  • Comprehensive understanding of the Electronic Communications Privacy Act (ECPA) and its application to data governance practices.

  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, internet technology, and software (Zendesk a plus, but not required).

  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and be willing to apply for a U.S. government security clearance and/or pass a drug test if requested.
