We work with title insurance companies, property developers, and financial institutions to quickly and easily produce title documents to make the real estate closing process faster and more efficient.

What You Will Do
  • Analyze chain of title and review preparation of Title Reports
  • Ensure completeness of each title search and the correct order of documents attached
  • Verify that all pertinent parties to the search were correctly researched and documented
  • Review all legal documents, including deeds, deeds of trust, mortgages, liens, judgments, settlement agreements, probate proceedings, easements, right-of-ways, and plats/maps
  • Verify ownership, encumbrances, and legal descriptions of properties
  • Ensure all legal documents and court proceedings are summarized correctly and succinctly
  • Analyze restrictions and adverse items, and ensure proper annotations, defining their effect and possible hindrance of property sale or usage
  • Handle all aspects of the title search via online county information, title plant information and local abstractor work
  • You will be working in different states and counties every day. One day you could be working in a title plant in Calif and the next you will be working on a county recorder website in KY
  • Follow up on all orders returned for corrections and conducts additional reviews prior to finalizing orders
  • You will be searching commercial title 5 days a week/ 8 hrs a day
  • You must have the ability to plot legal descriptions for accuracy and completeness
What You Bring
  • 3+ year of experience in commercial title searches
  • Understanding of terminology and documents related to title search, title chain, and property ownership
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, following set quality standards
  • Ability to multitask and review multiple orders simultaneously
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Adobe PDF, and other Office tools
  • Knowledge and proficiency with platting software, such as NetDeedPlotter and Metes&Bounds, are preferred, but not required
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a team
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment
