What is remote kitting assembly?

Remote kitting assembly is a process where workers, often from home or a remote location, assemble kits by organizing and packaging various components or materials according to specific instructions. These kits may be used in manufacturing, healthcare, retail, or other industries that require pre-packaged sets of items. Remote kitting allows companies to outsource assembly work, increase flexibility, and sometimes reduce costs, while providing workers with the convenience of working from home. Typical tasks include sorting, labeling, packing, and quality checking kit components. This role usually requires attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to follow detailed instructions.

What are some common challenges faced in a remote kitting assembly role, and how can they be managed?

In a remote kitting assembly position, one common challenge is maintaining consistent quality and accuracy without direct, in-person supervision. Working from home also requires strong organizational skills to manage materials and meet deadlines. Clear communication with your team and supervisors is essential to resolve any issues quickly and ensure that assembly instructions are followed precisely. Many companies provide detailed training materials and regular check-ins to support remote workers and uphold high standards.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Kitting Assembly Worker, and why are they important?

To excel in remote kitting assembly, you need strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to follow detailed instructions, often with a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with inventory tracking software, barcode scanners, and basic computer systems is typically required. Excellent time management, reliability, and effective communication set standout performers apart in this role. These skills and qualities ensure accurate, efficient assembly of kits and maintain workflow integrity, which is crucial for meeting production goals and customer satisfaction.

Position Summary

Knight-Swift Supply Chain is seeking a results-oriented Sales Executive III to drive new revenue growth by acquiring mid-market enterprise clients who require integrated supply chain solutions.

The ideal candidate has a verifiable track record selling third-party logistics (3PL) services, including e-commerce fulfillment and B2B distribution, and is prepared to manage the full sales cycle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

As a mid-level 3 Sales Executive, you will be expected to manage a full sales pipeline with minimal supervision, focusing on solutions that solve complex customer challenges:

o B2B Distribution: Targeting established brands needing warehousing, retail compliance, and value-added services (kitting, assembly, repackaging).

· Solution Design & Proposal: Conduct deep dive needs assessments to understand prospects' supply chain challenges (e.g., high shipping costs, slow delivery times, inventory inaccuracy). Work cross-functionally with Operations and IT to design and present tailored, cost-effective fulfillment proposals.

· Quota Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed aggressive sales quotas with a goal of closing $6 to $8 Million annually.

· CRM Management: Maintain meticulous records of all sales activity, client communication, and pipeline stage management within the CRM system (e.g., HubSpot).

· Market Strategy: Provide valuable market feedback and competitive insights to the Marketing team to help drive leads.

Required Qualifications

This role requires a candidate who can demonstrate success and is ready to take ownership of a territory and pipeline.

o Proven ability to sell complex logistics services, specifically e-commerce fulfillment and general B2B distribution.

o Strong understanding of modern warehousing technology (WMS, APIs, e-commerce platform integrations).

o Familiarity with common value-added services (kitting, labeling, returns processing).

· Skills:

o Exceptional negotiation and closing skills.

o Excellent written and verbal communication, and formal presentation skills.

o Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., HubSpot).

· Self-Motivated: Highly driven, results-oriented, and capable of working independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.

· Tech Savvy: Proficient in CRM software (e.g., HubSpot CRM), Microsoft Office Suite, AI, and comfortable with sales technology.
