About This RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Childcare Consultant to join our team in Northeast Oklahoma and work remotely. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting childcare programs by providing expert guidance on curriculum planning, health and safety protocols, and strategies for engaging children. With services provided in 11 counties, we require some travel to effectively support our programs.
What You'll Do- Collaborate with the team to implement program goals, objectives, and work plan of the R&R program in the service area.
- Ensure that training is effectively implemented in the SDA of the R&R program.
- Provide technical assistance and on-site visits to Child Care Centers and Homes to support their development.
- Maintain the mobile resource materials to ensure accessibility and effectiveness.
- Submit periodic TA reports and assist in the development of quarterly reports for the Regional Director to track progress.
- Operate, maintain, and update the database system appointed by the state to track consultant training, coaching, and technical assistance.
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the child care resources available to providers and parents in the designated counties to provide expert guidance.
- Attend community meetings as needed with input from the Regional Director to stay informed and engaged.
- Develop resource and referral information brochures, newsletters, press releases, and public presentations to disseminate as required by management.
- Plan, develop, and implement trainings as often as needed according to Regional Progress Assessment to support child care providers.
- Recruit and mentor child care providers as requested with emphasis in underserved areas to support their growth and development.
- Attend community resource meetings in the SDA to stay informed and engaged.
- Maintain community awareness of child care issues and relationships with agencies and businesses in the community to effectively support programs.
- Assist in the licensing procedures for Family Child Care Homes and Centers as requested by potential providers to support their development.
- Provide input and articles for scheduled R&R newsletters to keep stakeholders informed.
- Attend local, state, regional, and national meetings/training as needed to stay up-to-date on best practices.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure that all requirements of OPSR and Ivy Learning program contracts are met.
- Perform other duties as designated by the Regional Director or Executive Director to support the team and programs.
RequirementsA bachelor's degree is required, along with knowledge and/or experience in early care and education and/or child development. This is a critical requirement for the role.

- A clean record, with no felony convictions or misdemeanor convictions for offices relating to children, is essential.
