About the Role
We are representing a leading mechanical contractor seeking a seasoned Project Executive (PX) to provide strategic leadership across multiple high-value mechanical construction projects. The ideal candidate brings proven experience managing HVAC, plumbing, or process piping scopes on complex commercial, institutional, or life science projects โ€” with the ability to mentor PMs, build client relationships, and drive company performance.

This is an opportunity to make a lasting impact at a company that values innovation, accountability, and long-term partnerships.

What Youโ€™ll Do
As a Project Executive, youโ€™ll oversee a portfolio of mechanical projects and provide leadership across both internal teams and external client relationships. Youโ€™ll act as the executive sponsor for key projects while collaborating with preconstruction, estimating, operations, and field leadership to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the executive point of contact for clients on major HVAC and/or plumbing projects

  • Lead and mentor project managers and field teams across multiple concurrent jobs

  • Guide project strategy, scope development, risk mitigation, and client expectations

  • Support estimating and preconstruction with strategic input on budgets and phasing

  • Oversee contractual negotiations, change management, forecasting, and billing

  • Collaborate with internal department heads to align manpower, resources, and deliverables

  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality control, and company policies across all jobsites

  • Represent the company in high-level client meetings and industry events

  • Contribute to hiring, talent development, and long-term operational planning

What You Bring

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in mechanical construction (HVAC, plumbing, piping)

  • Prior success managing $10Mโ€“$50M+ portfolios of work across multiple job sites

  • Background in design-build, complex renovations, or mission-critical facilities is a plus

  • Strong financial acumen with proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and contract management

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills โ€” both internally and with clients

  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar project management platforms

  • A degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred
