Job description

The IT Manager will oversee and manage the hospital's information technology systems, ensuring that all IT infrastructure and services support the hospital’s mission to provide high-quality patient care. The IT Manager will collaborate with medical staff, administrators, and external vendors to implement and maintain robust technology solutions that support clinical and administrative operations. This position requires the ability to independently identify and fulfill responsibilities with minimal oversight, especially on critical matters. The role frequently involves exercising discretion and independent judgment, evaluating different options, and making informed decisions. The position is expected to effectively prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and ensure deadlines are consistently met.

Required qualifications:

  1. 5+ years of experience in IT management, preferably within a healthcare environment.
  2. Proven experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and healthcare IT systems (e.g., EPIC, Cerner).
  3. Strong knowledge of healthcare IT regulations, including HIPAA compliance.
  4. Experience managing network infrastructure, data security, and cybersecurity programs.
  5. Proficiency in network and systems management, including servers, virtualization, storage, and cloud environments.
  6. Strong understanding of healthcare software applications and health information exchange standards.
  7. Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices, data encryption, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
  8. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse IT team.
  9. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
  10. Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  11. Understands hospital business operations and structure, general requirements in an integrated delivery system, and use of IT applications in the practicing healthcare environment.
  12. Open to travel when required.

Preferred qualifications:

  1. MCSE and CCNA Certification
  2. Project Management Professional (PMP)

Our Total Rewards package includes, but is not limited to, paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and many more voluntary benefit options.  Benefits may vary based on employment status, i.e. full-time, part-time, per diem or temporary.  A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $70,304.00 to $134,721.60 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
