Job description

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for professionals experienced in supply chain planning, demand forecasting, inventory analysis, S&OP workflows, logistics coordination, and structured planning documentation processes.

This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on structured supply chain review, planning workflow analysis, inventory and forecasting assessment, logistics documentation, supplier performance review, and high-quality project execution. Selected professionals will apply their supply chain expertise to review realistic planning scenarios, evaluate operational requirements, prepare structured written outputs, and support accurate, evidence-based supply chain workflow tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Professionals in this role may contribute to:

Demand Planning & Forecast Review

  • Review supply chain scenarios involving demand forecasts, historical data, forecast accuracy, planning assumptions, and defined performance metrics
  • Evaluate forecast outputs against source data, expected results, demand patterns, and planning requirements
  • Support structured review of MAPE calculations, forecast models, demand planning workbooks, and planning documentation
  • Identify missing inputs, planning inconsistencies, accuracy issues, and expected supply chain review outcomes

Inventory, MRP & S&OP Support

  • Review planning scenarios involving MRP runs, inventory analysis, safety stock targets, capacity constraints, and demand-supply reconciliation
  • Evaluate inventory and planning outputs against defined requirements, system outputs, service targets, and operational constraints
  • Support structured review of S&OP materials, capacity analyses, scenario plans, and supply-demand planning workflows
  • Prepare clear written explanations for supply chain planning decisions based on source materials and verifiable criteria

Supplier, Logistics & Execution Review

  • Review execution scenarios involving supplier scorecards, logistics exceptions, SLA requirements, service performance, and escalation workflows
  • Evaluate supplier performance totals, exception handling steps, logistics documentation, and operational playbooks against defined criteria
  • Support structured review of transportation issues, supplier metrics, fulfillment risks, and execution workflows
  • Maintain accuracy, consistency, and professional judgment across submitted work

Ideal Profile

Strong candidates may have:

  • 3+ years of experience in supply chain planning, demand planning, S&OP, logistics, inventory management, procurement planning, operations planning, or related roles
  • Experience with one or more areas such as demand forecasting, inventory theory, MRP, S&OP operations, capacity planning, supplier scorecards, logistics exception handling, or demand-supply reconciliation
  • Familiarity with planning systems such as SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, o9, Anaplan, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar supply chain tools
  • Comfort reading and preparing supply chain artifacts such as forecasts, S&OP decks, supplier scorecards, exception playbooks, inventory analyses, MRP outputs, and planning workbooks
  • Strong written communication skills and ability to explain supply chain reasoning clearly
  • Ability to follow structured instructions and produce evidence-based work

Educational Background

  • A degree or professional background in supply chain management, industrial engineering, operations management, logistics, business analytics, procurement, manufacturing, or a related field is helpful
  • Equivalent practical experience in supply chain planning, S&OP, logistics, inventory management, procurement planning, or operations workflows is also highly relevant

Nice to Have

  • APICS CPIM, CSCP, CLTD, Lean Six Sigma, supply chain analytics certification, or equivalent supply chain background
