Oak View Group (OVG) is the global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services, with a platform spanning venue development and end-to-end capabilities across venue management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. Founded in 2015, the company serves a collection of seven world-class owned venues and a client roster of the most iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions, spanning four continents.
Position Summary
The Social Media Intern will support Oak View Group's corporate social media team across day-to-day content, tracking, and storytelling initiatives tied to OVG's global portfolio. This role is ideal for someone with strong social instincts, a basic understanding of social platforms, and foundational editing skills (such as Canva or similar tools), who is eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
The intern will support external storytelling initiatives, help organize social platform data, and source community content from venue partners across OVG's network. They will also assist with artist and influencer tracking to help identify social media opportunities tied to events and venues. Additionally, the intern will support content coordination across OVG's corporate social channels, including the Pollstar social account.
This is a hands-on opportunity for a curious, organized, and creative self-starter to gain real-world experience in social media operations, brand strategy, and collaborative content development.
This position is a full-time summer internship offered through OVG's ASCEND program and is open to students currently enrolled at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) or Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs).
This role pays an hourly rate of $18.00-$20.00
This role is expected to last from June 8th, 2026 and will end on August 7th, 2026.
This position will remain open until July 10th, 2026.
Responsibilities
  • Support Oak View Group's corporate social media team in executing day-to-day social media initiatives and content operations.
  • Assist with content planning and coordination across OVG's global social channels, including Pollstar.
  • Help maintain organization across social calendars and internal reporting documents.
  • Support external storytelling initiatives, including employee and venue highlight series.
  • Source, collect, and engage with community content from venue partners across OVG's network.
  • Track artists and influencers connected to OVG venues to help identify social media opportunities and collaborations.
  • Assist with social media tracking, reporting, and content performance monitoring.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and venue partners to support storytelling across the OVG portfolio.
  • Key Learnings:
    • Develop and understand content calendars.
    • Execute templated graphics.
    • Grow skills around collaboration with other teams and their specific brands.
    • Expand knowledge of social media trends and best practices.

Qualifications
  • Student currently enrolled at a Historically Black College or University (HBCU) or Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI).
  • Interest in social media, digital marketing, brand storytelling, or communications.
  • Basic familiarity with major social platforms including Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and X.
  • Foundational experience with creative tools such as Canva, CapCut, or similar design/editing platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a creative eye.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Curious, proactive mindset with a willingness to learn.
  • Strong sense of organization and ownership in assigned projects.
