Medina Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Mental Health Counselor, fully licensed as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW, to join our remote telehealth team. Work Environment

This role operates in a fully remote environment through a telehealth platform, allowing counselors to connect with clients across various geographical locations while enjoying the flexibility of working from home. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct meticulous intake assessments by documenting case history and evaluating clientsโ€™ mental, behavioral, and emotional states during initial consultations.
  • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, based on thorough assessments and evidence-based practices.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions via telehealth, providing patients with therapeutic tools and coping mechanisms specific to their unique needs.
  • Regularly monitor client progress and adapt treatment strategies to ensure positive outcomes, documenting all progress within electronic health record systems such as AVATAR.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and medical professionals, to coordinate care for clients who may require hospitalization or medication management.
  • Identify and address any behaviors that may hinder recovery efforts while providing ongoing support to families and primary caregivers dealing with mental and emotional challenges.
  • Stay current with advancements in the field of mental health and contribute to the evolution of best practices within the organization.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a varied patient demographic, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. The role requires an empathetic approach, forming trust-based relationships that empower clients to openly share their experiences and work towards healing in a safe and supportive environment.

Qualifications
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A valid and current license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Arizona is mandatory.
  • Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, and we offer a sign-on bonus to qualified candidates.
