Position: Legal Conflicts Specialist (Global Law Firm)

Location: Remote (must reside in CA, WA or NV)

Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm PT

Summary for Legal Conflicts Specialist:

Join a prestigious global law firm as a Legal Conflicts Specialist where you'll play a critical role in supporting the firm's new client and matter intake process. Working in a collaborative environment alongside the Office of General Counsel, Conflicts Attorneys, New Business Intake, and firm leadership, you'll draft engagement letters, conflict waivers, and other key legal documents that help ensure new business is opened efficiently and in compliance with firm policies. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and enjoys working at the intersection of risk management, client service, and legal operations.


Responsibilities for Legal Conflicts Specialist:

  • Draft and review engagement letters, conflict waiver letters, and outside counsel guidelines for new client engagements and matters.
  • Manage a high volume of requests, emails, and communications related to new business acceptance and conflicts.
  • Respond to partner requests and revise engagement documentation as needed while ensuring compliance with firm policies.
  • Partner with the New Business Intake team, Conflicts team, and Office of General Counsel to support the firm's business acceptance process.
  • Conduct legal and business research and assist with a variety of special projects and requests.
  • Assist with training firm personnel on engagement letter and conflict waiver drafting procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality while managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.


Qualifications for Legal Conflicts Specialist:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • 2+ years of legal experience, preferably in conflicts, new business intake, or risk management within a mid-to-large law firm.
  • Knowledge of legal entities, transactional matters, and conflicts of interest principles preferred.
  • Familiarity with legal ethics, Rules of Professional Conduct, and law firm risk management practices is a plus.
  • Experience with Intapp, Contract Express, iManage, Aderant, or similar legal technology preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, written communication, and client service skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, exercise sound judgment, and work independently in a high-volume, collaborative environment.
