The role

We are seeking a thoughtful and adaptable Senior HR Business Partner to join our growing team in San Francisco. This role will collaborate closely with leaders and employees to support a high-performing, inclusive, and globally distributed workforce. The ideal candidate brings experience from fast-growing technology environments and is comfortable partnering with multicultural engineering teams across multiple regions.

As a Senior HR Business Partner, you will act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, helping to align people strategies with business objectives. You will contribute to organizational design, talent development, employee engagement, and performance management while ensuring that HR practices are equitable, compliant, and scalable.

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Partner with business leaders to develop and implement people strategies that support growth, innovation, and team effectiveness

  • Provide guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management initiatives

  • Support managers in performance management, employee development, and feedback practices

  • Foster an inclusive and engaging work environment across diverse, globally distributed teams

  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and People Operations to support hiring, onboarding, and retention efforts

  • Analyze people data and trends to inform decision-making and recommend improvements

  • Navigate employee relations matters with professionalism, empathy, and sound judgment

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and international employment laws and best practices

We expect you to have: 

  • 5+ years of HR experience, including experience as an HR Business Partner or similar role

  • Background in fast-paced, high-growth technology companies

  • Experience supporting engineering or technical teams across multiple geographic locations

  • Strong understanding of HR practices, employment law, and organizational development

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust at all levels

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in multicultural environments

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Fluency in Mandarin (spoken and written) to support communication with global teams
