Job description

Position Overview

Blue Ridge Hospice Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our innovative team. As an LMFT, you will play a critical role in providing mental health support and guidance to individuals, couples, and families facing various challenges. Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain positive, trusting relationships with clients through active listening and empathy.
  • Diagnose and treat mental health disorders by employing therapeutic techniques tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Design and implement comprehensive, individualized treatment plans that consider patients' unique backgrounds and circumstances.
  • Conduct regular counseling sessions with clients, consistently providing support while adjusting treatment plans based on ongoing assessments.
  • Document patient progress meticulously, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to track outcomes and ensure continuity of care.
  • Refer clients to specialized services when necessary, coordinating care to optimize treatment efficacy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As an LMFT at Blue Ridge Hospice Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse client base, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and other mental health challenges. Understanding the nuances of working with varied populations, you will tailor your approach to meet the cultural and personal needs of each client, ensuring a respectful and effective therapeutic experience.

Qualifications
  • Active and unrestricted State licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing individual and group therapy, showcasing a client-centered therapeutic approach.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to efficiently handle caseloads and administrative responsibilities.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in an outpatient setting is highly desired, particularly with integrated care models.
  • Familiarity with telehealth practices and digital platforms used for therapy sessions.
  • Previous work with culturally diverse populations will be an advantage.
Compensation and Benefits
