Job description

The Recurring Remote Makeup Artist position is responsible for supporting the on-air appearance of the announcers. 

This role is remote based without a corporate office location. Recurring Remote Makeup artist will be asked to travel based on the sport needs and locations, as well as commonly work holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure makeup looks natural and well-applied under different lighting
  • Match skin color to color palettes to determine best looks
  • Work quickly and accurately under pressure
  • Wipe off makeup and reapply if client is unsatisfied.
  • Maintain clean work area and ensure all work instruments are sanitized
  • Maintain awareness of health and safety issues and legislation
  • Style client's hair to best accentuate features on camera, make recommendations for changes as needed
  • Experience working on different hair textures and lengths. Must be able to achieve desired styles, blow dry, and use the appropriate hair products [for each hair type]

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to achieve clean looks for HD camera shots
  • Must be able to work in an efficient manner, keeping a clean and tidy work environment
  • Minimum of 1 year freelance or makeup artist experience
  • Cosmetology, aesthetics license or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Time management skills- knowing how long a subject will take to be made-up
  • Work quickly and accurately in time-pressured conditions
  • Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to all levels of Talent such as celebrities, show hosts, guests, and athletes
  • High ability to multitask and set priorities based on remote production needs
  • Skilled at interpreting ideas and addressing concerns, yet trusting your own opinions and instincts
  • Must possess the ability to work under minimal supervision in a professional working environment

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Preferred Education:

  • Cosmetology diploma or degree

The pay rate for this remote role is $22.00 to $ 88.50 per hour. The base pay actually offered may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
