As a Field Service Technician (FST), you are the critical link in ensuring our life-saving hardware and software operate at peak performance.

The Role

Based in Albany, NY, you will manage the installation, maintenance, and emergency repair of automated enforcement equipment. This is a hands-on role where 65% of your time is spent in the field and 25% involves regional travel across the Northeast.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation & Maintenance: Perform reactive and preventative maintenance to ensure maximum system uptime.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Use PCs, software, and multimeters to diagnose and repair hardware and IP network devices.
  • Project Coordination: Partner with the engineering team and local contractors to optimize repair procedures.
  • Remote Monitoring: Review system performance reports and maintain detailed digital logs via Google Workspace.

What You Bring

Must-Haves:

  • Technical Experience: 2โ€“4 years in electronics repair, installation, or programming.
  • Electrical Skills: Proficiency with AC/DC circuits, relays, and multimeters.
  • Networking: Ability to set up and troubleshoot IP devices/networks.
  • Field Readiness: Comfortable working outdoors in all weather, at heights (10โ€™โ€“30โ€™), and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Reliability: A personal vehicle capable of transporting a ladder (mileage reimbursed at the National rate).

Nice-to-Haves:

  • A degree or certification in Engineering, Tech, or Construction.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and building plans.
  • Experience with Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides.

Work Environment & Schedule
