Job Title: Human Resources Lead
Department: Human Resources
Reports To: HR & Operations Manager

Location: Hybrid


This position follows a hybrid work arrangement consisting of three (3) remote workdays and two (2) onsite workdays per week. Onsite days are intended to support hands-on training, collaboration with leadership, confidential HR responsibilities, and team engagement.


Scheduling Flexibility

We recognize that many candidates are balancing their education with their professional development. As a result, the proposed work schedule is flexible and may be adjusted based on the employee's academic schedule, availability, and business needs. We strive to accommodate students whenever possible while ensuring they receive the training, support, and in-office experience necessary to succeed in the role.

The final schedule will be determined collaboratively during onboarding and may be reviewed periodically as business needs evolve.

Job Summary

The Human Resources Lead serves as the primary day-to-day operational leader of the Human Resources department, ensuring that HR processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and consistently. Working closely with the HR & Operations Manager, this role provides guidance to the HR Associate, oversees daily priorities, supports managers across the organization, and helps drive continuous improvement within HR operations.
The Human Resources Lead balances hands-on execution with leadership responsibilities, serving as the first point of escalation for complex HR matters while helping maintain exceptional employee service across both Pro-Play Games Storefront and PPG Event Management.
Key Responsibilities
Department Operations
  • Coordinate daily HR priorities and workload.
  • Ensure onboarding and offboarding processes are completed accurately and on time.
  • Monitor HR ticket queues and employee support requests.
  • Review documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain confidential employee records.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and employment requirements.
    Leadership & Team Development
  • Provide daily guidance to the Human Resources Associate.
  • Assist with training new HR team members.
  • Review completed work before escalation when appropriate.
  • Identify opportunities to improve department efficiency.
  • Help develop SOPs and training documentation.
    Employee Support
  • Serve as the first escalation point for employee questions.
  • Support managers with coaching documentation and corrective actions.
  • Assist with employee relations conversations.
  • Coordinate payroll corrections and timecard investigations.
  • Support benefits administration and employee communications.
    Recruitment & Onboarding
  • Coordinate interview scheduling.
  • Assist with hiring decisions.
  • Oversee onboarding readiness.
  • Ensure new hire documentation is complete.
  • Maintain hiring pipelines and candidate communication.
    Systems & Administration
  • Support HR systems including ADP Workforce Now, Monday.com, WorkMarket, Slack, Google Workspace, and DocuSign.
  • Perform HR audits.
  • Monitor compliance deadlines.
  • Track department metrics and reporting.

Continuous Improvement
  • Recommend process improvements.
  • Develop new workflows and documentation.
  • Participate in department projects.
  • Support implementation of new HR initiatives.

Success Looks Like
After 90 days, the Human Resources Lead should be able to:
  • Independently manage daily HR operations.
  • Prioritize department workload.
  • Coach and support the HR Associate.
  • Resolve most employee HR inquiries independently.
  • Identify process improvements.
  • Ensure HR documentation remains organized and compliant.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for managers.
