What is remote golf marketing?

Remote golf marketing refers to promoting golf courses, products, or services from a location outside of a traditional office or golf facility, usually through digital channels. Professionals in this field use online marketing strategies like social media, email campaigns, and content creation to reach golfers and potential customers. This role allows for flexible work arrangements and often involves data analysis, campaign management, and collaboration with golf brands or clubs. The goal is to increase engagement, grow brand awareness, and drive sales within the golf industry, all while working remotely.

How does a remote golf marketing professional typically collaborate with golf course partners and event organizers?

As a remote golf marketing professional, collaboration with golf course partners and event organizers is primarily conducted through virtual meetings, email communication, and project management tools. Building strong relationships despite the distance requires proactive communication, regular status updates, and creative use of digital platforms to share promotional materials and campaign ideas. You may also coordinate virtual walkthroughs, develop joint marketing initiatives, and leverage data analytics to tailor strategies for each partner. Staying organized and responsive is key to ensuring successful partnerships and impactful marketing campaigns.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote golf marketing specialist, and why are they important?

To excel as a Remote Golf Marketing Specialist, you need a solid grasp of digital marketing principles, content creation, and an understanding of the golf industry, typically supported by a marketing degree or relevant experience. Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, social media management platforms, email marketing software, and CRM systems is essential. Strong communication, creativity, and self-motivation are important soft skills for engaging audiences and managing projects independently. These skills ensure effective promotion of golf brands, successful campaign execution, and the ability to drive engagement and sales in a remote setting.

We unite popular brands such as Clubessential, foreUP, myFitApp, Vermont Systems, Momence, Exerp, and many more.
Join our Golf and Club team, as Digital Marketing Specialist to make a real impact every day. We say that because we know that every conversation we have, every interface we design, and every new feature we ship is another opportunity for us to elevate everyday life experiences for our customers and the people and communities they serve.
The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for managing and executing comprehensive digital marketing programs for foreUP customers. Acting as an extension of each customer's team, this role develops, implements, and optimizes marketing strategies designed to increase rounds, memberships, event participation, customer engagement, and overall revenue.
This position goes beyond traditional advertising management and encompasses the full spectrum of managed marketing services, including paid advertising, search engine optimization (SEO), Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), content creation, email marketing, promotional campaigns, website optimization, local search visibility, and customer communications. The Digital Marketing Specialist serves as a trusted advisor and execution partner, helping customers achieve their business goals through strategic, data-driven marketing initiatives.
The ideal candidate combines marketing expertise, creativity, analytical thinking, and strong customer service skills to successfully manage multiple customer accounts while delivering measurable business outcomes.
Some of the things you'll do:
  • Manage digital marketing activities for a portfolio of foreUP customers.
  • Develop customer-specific marketing plans based on business goals, seasonal priorities, and promotional opportunities.
  • Create, launch, monitor, and optimize paid advertising campaigns across Google Ads and other approved platforms.
  • Build and manage email campaigns, newsletters, automated communications, and promotional messages.
  • Create and schedule marketing content, including social-media posts, blog posts, event promotions, and basic website updates.
  • Promote tournaments, leagues, memberships, events, and special offers on behalf of customers.
  • Meet with customers to understand priorities, gather content, review performance, and recommend improvements.
  • Monitor campaign performance, manage budgets, and provide clear reporting on results, engagement, leads, and return on marketing investment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of campaigns, customer communication, and account activity.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve technical issues, support onboarding, and improve customer results.
  • Apply SEO, local-search, and GEO best practices when relevant to customer marketing campaigns.
  • Stay current on digital-marketing trends, platform updates, and opportunities to improve foreUP's managed marketing services.

Working arrangements:
Fully Remote in United States: You can work fully remote in this position, provided you have eligible working rights in the U.S. and do not require sponsorship.
