Your New Role...

Reporting into theSVP/General Manager of Golf Digest, the Account Executive on Golf Digest's Sales team will be tasked with driving advertising and sponsorship revenue across Golf Digest's O&O platforms, a critical function that supports and contributes to the overall growth and profitability of the Golf Digest brand, thus reinforcing WBD and Golf Digest as a leader in the golf media landscape. This role is responsible for building and maintaining direct relationships with brands and media agencies, ensuring Golf Digest remains a key partner in their marketing and sponsorship strategies.

The Account Executive will be tasked with identifying and engaging strategically aligned clients to expand Golf Digest's portfolio of advertising partners. They are expected to develop direct relationships with brands and agencies, maintain and build upon an existing client list, strategically identify potential clients, and close new business. They must have a strong digital sales background with experience in closing complex, multi-platform deals that span digital, print, event sponsorships, and branded content.

The Account Executive works in close collaboration with the Marketing, Content, Event, Business Development, and Product teams to craft compelling proposals, be the face of Golf Digest's solutions to existing and prospective clients, respond to RFPs, and deliver innovative, tailored solutions that meet client objectives and maximize revenue opportunities.

Your Role Accountabilities...

  • Grow and cultivate new and existing client and agency relationships to drive advertising and sponsorship revenue.
  • Provide account management to a portfolio of clients. Develop, manage, optimize, and support strategic account plans, apply consultative sales strategies and leverage data and product knowledge to create business solutions for clients.
  • Guide and consult clients on Golf Digest and various WBD properties to achieve optimal results based on their objectives and KPIs, managing campaign performance, and recommending solutions.
  • Assist Sales in all pre- and post-sales components of media buys, including post-campaign recaps, reporting, and preparing accounts for renewal opportunities.
  • Proactively prospect and research accounts to drive new business opportunities.
  • Actively mentor and oversee support staff in the stewardship of proposals, deal management, and post-deal analysis.
  • Collaborate closely with internal revenue teams to track, report, and analyze revenue performance, utilizing Salesforce to streamline pipeline management and ensure accurate forecasting.
  • Engage in client-facing activities, including travel to various territories, hosting clients for sporting events or meetings, and attending company events.

Qualifications & Experience...

  • Must have a minimum 5 years of media sales experience with proven sales track record.
  • Must have working knowledge of all-media Digital and ad intel, certification, measurement tools et al.
  • Must have a positive attitude, be a team player and be self-motivated to go above and beyond responsibilities to help the team close deals and make numbers.
  • Excellent executive level presentation, leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead collaborative efforts across multiple teams at WBD.
  • Thorough knowledge of sales, media and brand marketing process.
  • Capable of handling multiple projects in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong knowledge of the digital marketplace.
  • Ability to solve problems and work proactively.
  • Strong organizational skills.

Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $86,800.00 - $161,200.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
