Roles can range from game design, programming, art, and writing to project management and quality assurance. Teams collaborate using online tools for communication, asset sharing, and development. In a Remote Game Studio, daily collaboration often involves using online tools like Slack, Zoom, and project management platforms to stay connected with your team. You may participate in stand-up meetings, share progress updates, and review each other's work through code repositories or digital asset management systems. Cross-functional teamwork is common, so you might regularly communicate with developers, artists, designers, and producers to align on project goals and deadlines. Despite being remote, these processes help recreate the teamwork found in on-site studios and ensure everyone stays engaged and informed.

Job description

About Wolf Games

Wolf Games is building the platform for generative entertainment universes living, ever-expanding worlds where creators, players, and AI collaborate in real time. Our first universe, Public Eye, turns everyone into a detective. Across a suite of crime-solving games, players collect evidence, crack cases, and rise through the ranks of a connected detective program. We're creating a future where game development and player experience are tightly connected through intelligent systems that learn, adapt, and surprise.

About The Role

Are you hungry, technically minded, and obsessed with the intersection of traditional art and cutting-edge technology? We are looking for a passionate Generative Art Technologist to join our creative powerhouse game and entertainment studio.

This is a growth-focused role designed for an ambitious creator who wants to learn what it takes to deliver stunning, high-fidelity visuals into a production pipeline. Working directly under the guidance of our Art Director, you will be mentored to succeedbut you must bring the fire, the passion, and the drive to eventually become an autonomous powerhouse yourself.

We don't just want someone who can type a prompt; we need a "finisher." You will use a combination of the absolute bleeding edge of generative AI tech and traditional digital art tools to take assets all the way to the finish line. If you are eager to learn, ready to hustle, and want to push the boundaries of game asset production, this is your sandbox.

What You'll Do
  • Learn & Execute: Work closely with the Art Director to translate creative vision into reality, absorbing feedback and leveling up your artistic and technical skills every day.
  • Drive to the Finish Line: Rapidly generate visual assets and cinematic elements, using AI to get the base down and traditional tools to polish, paint over, and finalize the work. You don't stop until it's production-ready.
  • Experiment & Innovate: We're looking for someone on the cutting edge of AI asset creation. Stay hungry for knowledge. Constantly test the latest AI image and video generation solutions, comfortably operating in a state of continuous visual and technical experimentation.
  • Feed the Tech Engine: Actively monitor the generative AI landscape, share what you learn about new techniques, build tooling, and provide feedback to our internal tools team to optimize workflows.
  • Bridge the Gap: Learn the practical limits of content optimization and performance in a game engine, ensuring your visual outputs are viable for a real-time gaming environment.
What We're Looking For

Mindset & Drive (The Core)

  • Hungry & Passionate: You have an undeniable drive to grow. You want to prove yourself, soak up knowledge, and elevate your craft in a fast-paced environment.
  • The "Finisher" Mentality: You understand that AI gets you 80% of the way there, but hard work, technical skill, and delivering content that hits at the heart' gets you the last 20%. You are willing to roll up your sleeves and use traditional methods to fix artifacts and deliver experiences that matter.
  • Coachability to Autonomy: You thrive under guidance and take constructive criticism well, but your ultimate goal is to learn the ropes so well that you become a proactive, independent problem solver

Artistry & Tech Skills

  • Classic Artistic Foundation: A solid educational or self-taught background in traditional/digital art. You understand composition, lighting, anatomy, and color theoryyou know why an image works, not just how to generate it.
  • Technically Minded: Familiarity with the latest foundational image and video generation models combined with strong proficiency in standard digital art software.
  • "Vibe Coding" Ability: You must be comfortable using LLMs and natural language to "vibe code", whipping up quick scripts, automation tools, and/or prototypes to edit, create, and speed up your own as well as others' workflows.
  • A Discerning Eye: An acute sense of visual quality, with the growing ability to spot and correct stylistic inconsistencies.

Bonus Points

  • Game Dev Curiosity: Any prior exposure to or understanding of game engine constraints, asset sizes, texturing, or UI.
  • Video Editing Capabilities: Adept with Premiere Pro and video editing software to produce motion assets for games and marketing.
Why Wolf Games

We are a small, creative, and collaborative team that values curiosity, craftsmanship, and experimentation. As part of our team, you would have a chance to:

  • Play a foundational role in shaping the visual identity of a next-generation AI game studio.
  • Work with a team that values your creative intuition over rigid, outdated pipelines.
  • Influence the creation of custom, proprietary AI tools built specifically for your workflow.
