Angelus Funeral Home                                                                                

 Custodian / Floral Transporter (Full-Time)                                                                 Rate of pay: TBA                 

Schedule: Full-Time (Off Sundays + One weekday)


Position Summary

The Custodian / Floral Transporter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall readiness of the funeral home while also ensuring the safe and timely transport of floral arrangements for services. This role supports daily operations and helps provide a respectful, dignified environment for families and guests.


Key Responsibilities

Custodial Duties

  • Maintain cleanliness of chapels, viewing rooms, restrooms, offices, and common areas
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize all assigned areas
  • Set up and break down rooms for services, visitations, and events
  • Monitor and restock supplies (paper goods, cleaning products, etc.)
  • Dispose of trash and ensure proper waste management procedures
  • Assist with light maintenance tasks as needed

Floral Transport Duties

  • Pick up and deliver floral arrangements to and from designated locations
  • Ensure proper handling and placement of flowers for services
  • Load and unload floral arrangements with care to avoid damage
  • Coordinate delivery schedules in a timely and organized manner
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of transport vehicles


Additional Duties

  • Assist funeral directors and staff with service preparation
  • Support parking or guest assistance when needed
  • Follow all safety, health, and company policies
  • Maintain professionalism and sensitivity when interacting with families


Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
