The primary responsibility of this role is to be a Value architect in medium sized to large opportunities that may involve solutioning and estimation of Systems Integration, Application Development, Data Migration, Governance, Functional Leadership and more. Support of Application Maintenance and Apps-Infrastructure Support engagements is also required. The ideal candidate will leverage deep solutioning and delivery experience to individually create solutions and collaborate with clients to co-create strategies that drive measurable business outcomes , with the ability to individually create Solutions leveraging d eep solutioning and delivery e xperience in one or more area s, while being able to develop these in a collaborative basis with the client including advising/co-creating the solutions .

You are

As an SAP Solution Architect, you will assist sales, delivery, business architecture, as well as oversee opportunities, and deliver solution advisory for SAP technology and services. Your goal is to establish a trusted advisor relationship with internal teams, prospects and customers, guiding them through the sales cycle and adoption journey.

The Work

  • Acts as a key member of the deal/sales team to represent the technology solution offering to the client/internal groups.
  • Should be able to play client-facing role that involves understanding and formulating the client requirements into a technology solution that can be configured from a our offerings, assets and bring out synergies between various service groups involved in a deal.
  • Drives the sign off on the technology solution and acts as an interface with the delivery organization to ensure effective transition, shape services and determine appropriate structure, delivery locations and related costs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Solution Architecture & Deal Strategy
  • Translate client requirements into differentiated, deliverable solutions using in-depth knowledge of SAP technology, functions, and platforms.
  • Collaborate with Sales Pursuit and Delivery Teams to develop winnable and deliverable solutions that underpin the client value proposition and business case.
  • Design and deliver compelling SAP solutions that differentiate us from competitors.
  • Guide deal strategy by providing industry, technology or functional insights and leveraging Accenture's solution portfolio.
  • Oversee responses to RFIs and RFPs, ensuring accuracy and strategic alignment.
  • Lead complex sales cycles involving various solution advisors.
  • Client Engagement & Advisory
  • Establish and maintain trusted advisor relationships with key decision-makers and executives.
  • Communicate business outcomes and value realization from SAP technology solutions.
  • Co-create solutions with clients and delivery team and advise on best practices and integration strategies.
  • Thought Leadership & Mentorship
  • Support sales and marketing events (on-site and remote) to showcase SAP capabilities.
  • Maintain authorization training and certifications.
  • Mentor fellow Solution Architects and share knowledge and thought leadership across the team. Create Enterprise solutions closely with Accenture leads and clients .
  • Participate and/or lead solution discussions and client meetings – both for proactive and reactive (RFP driven) deals .
  • Build strong and sustainable relationships during the solutioning process with clients, delivery and sales .

Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 0 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements.

Here's what you need:

  • Minimum 15 years of SAP delivery experience with a strong functional background.
  • Minimum 5 years in SAP Solution Planning and Deal Shaping: pre-sales team or activities including RFP responses, scoping, estimation, costing, and solution orals presentations, etc. during sales cycle.
  • Minimum 5 years of SAP industry experience in one or two major industries (Resources, Products, Financial Services, Health & Public Services, Communications, Media & Technology).
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate's Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience)

Professional Skills Requirement

  • Expert in formulating the solution storyline, ability to collaborate in creating client value propositions,
  • Good hustling ability/resourcefulness,
  • Product/concept selling, Pre-sales/Solution Architecting,
  • Executive Presence and experience in one or two major industries (RES, PRD, FS, H&PS, CMT)
  • Ability to think on the feet, quickly ramp-up on new and upcoming skills .
  • Experience of working in a matrix organization made up of multi-discipline teams.
  • Very good interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to influence and build relationship with key stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of the application and infrastructure ecosystem in terms of Products and technologies.
  • Ability to understand client business and technology drivers- business IT alignment.
  • Strong capability to estimate, size, identify dependencies/assumptions in solutioning.
  • Ability to work across levels at the client; exposure to NA geography is a good additional skill
  • Strong aptitude to be an individual contributor.
  • Working knowledge of financials, cost-price-margin understanding and basic ability to discern deal shapes.
  • Expert in excel and other Microsoft applications.
  • Experience and exposure in collaborative technology solutioning including client workshops and joint solutioning sessions.

Bonus points if you have

  • Deep understanding of integration across SAP core modules.
  • Knowledge of SAP Activate Methodology and SAP Best Practices.
  • SAP Industry skills in the areas of: SAP IS-Oil, SAP IS-U/CR&B, SAP Retail, SAP SuccessFactors.
