Job description

We are seeking an experienced corporate event professional to lead and execute high-impact events for our Board of Directors, with the goal of elevating the director experience and strengthening engagement with management and employees. This role requires expertise in corporate event planning-not social events-with a focus on delivering polished, strategic, and high-visibility experiences. You will own the full lifecycle of event production, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to coordinate venues, travel, dining, décor, and communications, while ensuring every detail aligns with executive-level expectations.
On-site event management and direct support for directors will be critical to delivering seamless, well-executed events.
The ideal candidate brings a bachelor's degree or equivalent corporate experience, along with at least five years of progressive corporate event planning experience managing complex, high-visibility events. Success in this role requires strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You are detail-oriented, an effective communicator, and excel at building relationships while working both independently and collaboratively. Professional event certification is a plus.

Note:
  • Sponsorship is not available for this role
  • Although this is a remote role, the position requires the ability to work on site at our corporate offices for quarterly Board meetings, as well as travel to support the annual Board retreat and other key events. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Chattanooga, TN.

Job Responsibilities
  • Producing internal and external events for Board of Directors to positively impact directors' experience.
  • Leading and coordinating cross-functional internal and external teams for events from start to finish, including as applicable, booking hotel and dining venues, venue set up to facilitate event agenda, event food/beverage and décor planning.
  • On-site event management and director support.
  • Travel coordination for event attendees.
  • Developing and executing communication strategy for events for directors, management and other event attendees.
  • Managing events to budget.
  • Administrative support for team as needed

Job Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required. Equivalent experience is defined as 4 years of professional work experience in a corporate environment

Experience
  • 5 years - Experience in role corporate event planning with increasing responsibility

Skills/Certifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or function in a team environment sharing responsibility, roles and accountability.
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects at one time and be nimble at problem-solving
  • Superior interpersonal and client relation skills, in addition to oral and written communication skills
