Job description

We are currently looking for an Account Executive for a 100% remote position to assist in driving VetsEZ's strategic expansion into other federal healthcare agencies, including HHS, NIH, CMS, CDC, and FDA. The Account Executive will lead high-value customer engagement, shape account strategy, develop long-term growth plans, and partner closely with internal capture, technical, and delivery teams to position VetsEZ for meaningful expansion across the federal health IT landscape.
The candidate must reside within the continental US.
Responsibilities
  • Lead strategy, relationship development, and growth efforts across key federal healthcare agencies, with a focus on expanding VetsEZ's presence beyond the Department of Veterans Affairs.
  • Own opportunity identification and qualification efforts, maintaining a strong, forward-looking pipeline aligned with agency priorities and multi-year modernization initiatives.
  • Drive account planning, customer engagement strategies, and long-term positioning tailored to each target agency's mission, budget environment, and technology landscape.
  • Provide senior-level customer insights to inform capture and proposal activities, collaborating with internal teams to shape competitive solutions and win strategies.
  • Cultivate and manage strategic partnerships, including large primes and niche health IT firms, to strengthen teaming opportunities and improve competitive standing.
  • Represent VetsEZ at senior-level customer meetings, industry events, briefings, and partner forums to elevate brand visibility and expand trusted relationships.
  • Deliver ongoing account status updates, pipeline forecasts, and growth recommendations to leadership.
  • Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure the success of the project.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience managing federal accounts or driving business development within HHS, NIH, CMS, CDC, FDA, or similar healthcare-focused agencies.
  • Strong understanding of federal procurement processes, acquisition strategies, contract vehicles, and multi-year program lifecycles.
  • Demonstrated success building and sustaining relationships with senior government stakeholders and strategic industry partners.
  • Proven ability to shape account strategy, influence customer requirements, and contribute to competitive capture and proposal efforts.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage executive audiences, articulate value propositions, and support high-level discussions.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to independently lead long-range planning, pipeline development, and customer engagement in a remote work environment.

Additional Qualifications
  • Experience with federal health IT programs, health data interoperability, EHR modernization, or public health systems is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with or supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) for pipeline tracking and account management.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain government clearance.
  • Advanced training or certifications in capture management, federal business development, or proposal strategy are a plus.
