Overview
Navitus Health Solutions is seeking a Systems Architect to join our team!
The incumbent will be responsible for participating in the design, construction, maintenance, and enhancement of the Navitus IT infrastructure. With minimal leadership and tactical supervision, the incumbents collaborate with clients, staff, IT colleagues, and other stakeholders to identify user requirements, assess available technologies, and recommend solution options to meet the operational needs of Navitus. The main challenge to the Systems Architect is to architect and implement long term and short-term solutions to achieve the business needs. Incumbents also play an important leadership role as a senior member of the infrastructure team. Incumbents apply knowledge of various technical strategies to accurately anticipate organizational impacts. They share responsibility with other team members to ensure on-time product delivery, which requires a clear understanding of expectations and capabilities and the ability to act effectively as a team member. The Systems Architect ensures that systems are working at optimal levels and offers support to other departments regarding new technologies and system requirements.

Responsibilities
How do I make an impact on my team?
  • Research into new technologies which may be applicable to the environment at Navitus
  • Research into utilizing capabilities of existing technologies to a greater extent
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to perform a Proof of Concept for solutions that show promise
  • Work with business teams to understand current processes to identify areas which could see process improvement through technology solutions
  • Analyze and design effective and clear technical solutions for infrastructure and enterprise application related projects
  • Assist in the development and implementation of corporate information system policies and procedures
  • Maintain knowledge in Infrastructure Operations, Data Center Operations, Virtualization (Server, Network, Storage, Desktop, and Application); attend conferences, meet with vendors, and keep current on technology trends
  • Analyze and diagnose issues that may be caused by server-side applications, server operating system issues and networking problems
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
What our team expects from you?
  • A bachelor's or associate degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience and technical training is required
  • Five or more years of experience in hardware, software installation and support or networking is required. Conceptual knowledge of information technologies and methodologies is required
  • The incumbent must possess strong technical knowledge with hands-on experience providing support for all desktops and infrastructure throughout the company
  • Extensive hardware knowledge of installation, configuration and troubleshooting for PCs, Laptops, Mobile Devices, PC hardware and peripherals (including printers) in a Windows environment
  • Solid technical, functional, and architectural understanding of the storage area networking technologies
  • Extensive software knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, Linux OS, Microsoft Office applications and Internet Explorer
  • Experienced in Project management methodologies
  • Working knowledge of SCCME
  • Expertise in Active Directory and Exchange technologies and administration
  • Solid understanding of virtualization capabilities
  • Basic understanding of Networking Administration Support including Cisco router and switches, ASA firewalls, VLANs and VPN
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms
  • Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives
  • The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees
