Job description

Epic Cloud Migration Consultants (AWS) โ€“ Contract / Contract-to-Hire

Location: Remote (U.S.) โ€” travel or hybrid as needed
Employment Type: Contract or Contract-to-Hire

Overview

We are seeking EPIC-certified consultants with hands-on experience supporting Epic migrations from on-premise environments to AWS cloud infrastructure. This role will play a key part in planning, executing, and supporting cloud migration initiatives while collaborating with clinical, technical, and infrastructure teams.

This is a remote position, with travel or hybrid presence required based on project needs.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support and execute Epic system migrations from on-prem to AWS cloud

  • Collaborate with Epic, infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure smooth cloud transitions

  • Assist with cloud architecture planning, deployment, validation, and post-migration support

  • Troubleshoot migration-related issues and performance concerns

  • Ensure compliance with Epic standards, healthcare regulations, and security best practices

  • Participate in documentation, testing, and knowledge transfer activities

  • Support go-live and post-go-live stabilization efforts


Required Qualifications
  • Active EPIC certification (please specify module(s) when applying)
  • Demonstrated experience migrating Epic environments from on-prem to cloud (AWS)
  • Strong understanding of AWS infrastructure, including networking, storage, and security concepts
  • Experience/certificationย withย Cogito, Caboodle and/or ODBA
  • Experience working in healthcare IT environments
  • Ability to work independently in remote or hybrid settings while collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Epic Hosting, Cloud Strategy, or Epic-recommended cloud architectures
  • AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, SysOps, etc.)
  • Experience in hybrid or multi-cloud healthcare environments
