Job Description

The Corporate Operations & Technology Engineering Team is seeking a Principal System Architect, SAP Success Factors. We are currently undergoing a HR transformation that includes a green field implementation of SAP Success Factors Employee Central. This is a high-level strategic leadership role responsible for designing robust, scalable, and secure end-to-end SAP solutions that align with business goals. The role will drive technology strategy, establish architectural governance, guide digital transformation, and ensure "clean core" principles. Key duties include managing complex integrations, mentoring technical teams, and acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Define the overarching technical strategy, govern architectural standards, and ensure seamless, scalable integration across the HCM suite.
  • Manage technical SAP Teams through complex system development and deployment. Solutions to include artificial intelligence, application development and integration in one unified environment. 
  • Re-engineer, Transform and Maintain custom SAP SOH workloads onto Success Factors and  BTP. 
  • Analyze custom workloads on current stack and establish a framework to migrate objects and get to clean core. 
  • Actively lead SAP technical vision to leverage best practices and drive maximum business value 
  • Apply technology to complex business processes with a drive towards relentless simplification and reduction in TCO 
  • Evaluate business requirements and architect SAP solutions providing an integrated approach. 
  • Be up to date on latest SAP technology stack and act as strategic advisor to product and business teams on how to leverage SAP products and tools 
  • Manage Technical architecture analysis, research, design and development of new functionality and integration with key applications and services under SAP eco-systems 
  • Guide the engineering team to develop, configure and implement the solution as per the product development standards and best practices. 
  • Ensure technical integrity of projects, making sure that common technical elements are leveraged, and that work is not duplicated 
  • Participate in product roadmap and product strategy definition. 
  • Coordinate with other technical teams to ensure compatibility with their solution components and be in alignment with their roadmap. 
  • Hold self and others accountable to the committed deadlines and ensure successful deliverables 
  • Act as a mentor, coach, and provide training to engineers and consultants by sharing solution and technical expertise 
Qualifications
  • Education focus degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering or related discipline with an information technology major, or an equivalent combination of education and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.  
  • Experience as an Architect/Senior consultant in at least 8 SAP Success Factors/HR Implementations.  
  • 10+ years SAP Success Factors hands-on experience.  
  • Knowledge in various SAP Success Factors modules and Integration development working on large-scale transformations. 
  • Should have deep technical experience in SAP Application engineering development using the extensibility model in the following areas: 
  • In App extensions using key user and in app frameworks using the RAP (Restful ABAP programming) model 
  • Side by side extensions in BTP using the Cloud Application Programming (CAP) Model 
  • Using Clean Core principles for all custom development leveraging released API's to develop customizations and creating wrappers for requirements without released APIs
  • Designing, developing, and deploying cloud-based applications using SAP BTP services for activities like Technical Development using Business Application Studio (BAS), SAP Build and Advance WorkZone and using the Integration Suite for developing end to end integrations 
  • Business Process re-engineering or process improvement experience with broad-based information systems. 
  • Strong experience in SAP Technical & functional knowledge of SAP products and various solution offerings 
  • Worked in a Global environment at a leadership level and demonstrated growth and achievement. 
  • Experience in HR transformation projects e.g., from SAP HCM to Success Factors Employee Central (green field, brown field, blue field etc.) 
  • Experience working with interfaces in addition to Web Services, such as Java connectors and Rest APIs communicating with non-SAP applications. 
  • Experience with SAP BW, BW/4HANA, SAC, Fieldglass is a huge plus.
