Description & Requirements
Maximus is currently seeking an Employee Relations Specialist.
This role is an integral role within supporting the centralized Employee Relations team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage moderately complex workplace Investigations assigned, partnering with internal stakeholders including but not limited to HR Business Partners, Legal, HR Compliance, and drafting comprehensive investigative reports.
- Provide guidance and recommendations to people managers on a variety of subjects, including but not limited to performance management, involuntary terminations, conflict resolution, policy and procedure interpretation, escalating more complex matters to the senior ER Partner or ER leadership
- Monitor ER entry point for manager and employee guidance requests via people services portal, escalating complex matters to the Sr. ER Partner queue in the instance of complex resolution.
- Possess working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including EEO, ADA, FMLA, and other relevant legislation.
- Recommend appropriate courses of action to resolve conflicts and issues effectively and consistently across the organization, creating and monitoring aftercare plans through completion
- Assist with various projects and programs within the ER division
- Appropriately assess risk, demonstrating consideration of Maximus's values by applying sound ethical judgment, escalating, managing and reporting issues timely and appropriately.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with minimum of 3 years HR-related experience required.
- Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of human capital practices, techniques, and standards.
- Requires good judgment, organizational, multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel required and experience with case management systems preferred.
- Demonstrate the skills to evaluate facts, deliver findings and recommendations on sensitive cases through clear communication .
- Exceptional attention to detail when it comes to documentation, process execution, and follow up.
- Enjoys partnering with HR colleagues, Legal, and other stakeholder groups to implement solutions and achieve business results.

Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
