Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior / Lifecycle Specialist, Employee Relations and Transitions based in Netherlands.

This is a high-impact HR lifecycle role focused on managing complex employee transitions across a global, multi-jurisdictional environment while ensuring compliance, consistency, and a strong employee experience. You will operate at the intersection of employee relations, offboarding, and HR advisory work, supporting sensitive and often high-stakes employee situations with professionalism and precision. The role plays a key part in shaping how employee exits and transitions are handled across international markets, ensuring both legal compliance and a smooth experience for all stakeholders involved. You will work closely with legal, payroll, customer success, and HR teams in a fully remote, distributed setup. Beyond execution, you will also contribute to improving processes, enhancing automation, and elevating the overall lifecycle experience. This is an opportunity to combine operational depth, stakeholder management, and global HR expertise in a fast-paced environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Manage end-to-end employee exits across multiple international jurisdictions, ensuring a compliant and high-quality offboarding experience
  • Advise clients and stakeholders on terminations, resignations, transfers, redundancy processes, and employment-related matters
  • Lead sensitive conversations including termination meetings, consultations, and separation discussions with professionalism and care
  • Support first-line employee relations cases by assessing workplace concerns and coordinating appropriate responses
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, internal policies, and regulatory requirements including audits and legal standards
  • Draft, review, and maintain termination documentation and ensure accurate HRIS recordkeeping and data integrity
  • Coordinate with internal teams such as payroll, legal, benefits, and customer success to ensure seamless execution of transitions
  • Monitor and manage employee relations cases, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including automation and optimization of lifecycle processes
  • Act as a subject matter expert for offboarding and employee relations topics within the organization
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in HR advisory, HR Business Partnering, or employee relations roles
  • Strong experience managing employee exits, including both voluntary and involuntary terminations in compliance-heavy environments
  • Solid understanding of employee relations principles, disciplinary processes, and workplace investigations
  • Knowledge of international employment laws and ability to apply them across multiple jurisdictions
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and guide senior partners
  • High attention to detail, particularly in documentation, compliance, and data accuracy
  • Comfortable working in distributed, fast-paced, remote-first environments
  • Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Tech-savvy with experience using HR systems and digital collaboration tools
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage
Benefits
  • Competitive salary aligned with international benchmarks
  • Fully remote work within EMEA with flexible working arrangements
  • Flexible paid time off and strong work-life balance culture
  • Annual learning and development budget for professional growth
  • Home office support and IT equipment provided
  • Mental health and employee wellbeing support programs
  • Stock options and long-term incentive opportunities
  • Parental leave and family-friendly policies
  • Opportunity to work in a global, high-growth HR tech environment
