We're looking for Employee Experience professionals to join our team in Girdwood, Alaska
What You'll Do 
As an Employee Experience Assistant you will play a crucial role in creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for our community at Alyeska Resort, especially for those living in employee housing. This position is all about hands-on support and your hard work will not only maintain our facilities, but also enrich the lives of your fellow team members!   

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Keeping our staff lounges and cafeteria sparkling clean and inviting, including daily maintenance of coffee machines.  
  • Actively monitor common areas for safety hazards, addressing issues like spills or broken equipment to keep everyone safe.  
  • Provide friendly transportation for employees to various destinations as a registered driver.  
  • Gather and distribute mail from the People and Culture PO Box. 
  • Help with check-in and check-out processes, ensuring a seamless transition for incoming and outgoing residents.  
  • Collaborate with the People & Culture team to prepare rooms for incoming residents, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere from day one.  
  • Facilitate regular cleaning and maintenance of shared spaces such as laundry rooms, employee gyms, and outdoor gathering spots. 
  • Assist with general maintenance and repairs in employee housing facilities, keeping our shared areas and resident rooms in tip-top shape. 
      

What We Offer 
 Staring Wage: From $20 per hour 
 Part-Time Temporary Position Available

 
What We Need 

  • Previous experience in general maintenance, preferably property maintenance or housekeeping, with the ability to coordinate and organize multiple priorities.  
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.  
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to connect with residents and foster a sense of community.  
  • Basic knowledge of maintenance tasks and repairs.  
  • Clean driving record and knowledge of safe driving practices.  
  • Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to employee satisfaction.  
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing needs.  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.  

 
What to Expect 
 Be on alert and at times, on your feet for long periods, including nights, weekends, and holidays. 
 Work in a fast-paced, high-energy resort environment. 
 Adapt to seasonal changes around the resort and special events.

  • Physical demands: This is a dynamic position that combines office work with hands-on responsibilities related to employee housing support. This includes frequent lifting, up to 50 pounds, and a willingness to assist with light repairs and maintenance tasks in the employee housing facilities. Bending, stooping, walking, and standing for extended periods are essential components of this role.  
  • Work Environment:This role occasionally involves extended hours and weekends to accommodate peak business periods. Operating within a dynamic, fast-paced guest-centric setting, you will maintain a high level of interaction with staff, employees residing in housing, and various stakeholders.
