Job description

Who We Are:

At BMSS Advisors & CPAs, we're more than just a top 100 CPA and advisory firm-we're a people-first, relationship-driven team rooted in integrity, collaboration, and community. Founded in Birmingham, AL in 1991, BMSS has grown to seven thriving locations across Alabama and Mississippi. This full-time role will be based out of our Ridgeland, MS office.

We're known for our family-friendly culture, commitment to mentorship and life-work balance, and deep roots in the communities we serve. In fact, Accounting Today has recognized us as one of the best accounting firms to work for 14 years running. Whether it's volunteering locally or collaborating across departments, we show up-with professionalism, purpose, and care.

The Opportunity:

We're actively seeking an Employee Experience Assistant to support the daily flow of our Ridgeland office location. This is a hands-on, service-focused role for someone who takes pride in helping others, stays one step ahead, and brings a dependable, positive attitude to a busy environment.

As our Employee Experience Assistant, you'll handle a variety of firm errands and on-site tasks that keep our office running smoothly-from delivering items and supporting internal requests to jumping in on administrative needs as they arise. You'll also play an important part in BMSS's concierge-style support for employees, helping with occasional personal task requests that make life a little easier for our team.

If you enjoy being on the move, like variety in your day, and want to be part of a close-knit, supportive workplace, this is the perfect role for you.

What You'll Do:

  • Run daily office errands and deliveries (on-site and local off-site as needed)
  • Support internal teams with quick-turn requests to keep workflows moving
  • Assist with light administrative tasks as assigned
  • Help coordinate and fulfill employee concierge-style requests
  • Maintain a professional, friendly presence while representing BMSS in and out of the office
  • Pitch in where needed to support a collaborative, "serve-each-other" culture
  • Communicate clearly with teammates to confirm priorities and timelines

What We're Looking For:

  • Reliable, hardworking, and service-oriented mindset
  • Strong work ethic and a "no task too small" attitude
  • Ability to manage multiple requests and stay organized in a busy office
  • Positive demeanor and strong interpersonal skills
  • Comfort with routine movement, lifting/carrying items, and being on your feet throughout the day
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Prior experience in an office support, runner, or customer service role is a plus

Why Join BMSS:

  • Meaningful support role that makes a direct impact on your teammates' day
  • Family-first, team-centered culture where people genuinely care about each other
  • Stable, full-time schedule with no weekend requirement
  • Strong community presence and a workplace built on relationships

What We Offer:

  • Company-paid Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Generous PTO, paid volunteer days, and paid holidays
  • Ongoing training and professional development
  • A stocked kitchen and fridge filled with your favorite snacks and beverages
