Position Overview

Centuria Behavioral Health Center is excited to announce an opening for a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our team. This full-time position offers the flexibility of remote work from the comfort of your home, while also participating in collaborative outpatient services. You will play a crucial role in providing high-quality mental health support to individuals experiencing a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and other mental health disorders.

This role is fully remote, allowing you to connect with clients through secure video conferencing. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and intake evaluations to determine the mental health needs and goals of each client.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans that are responsive to the unique needs and preferences of clients, incorporating evidence-based approaches.
  • Facilitate regular therapy sessions, utilizing both telehealth and other remote modalities to deliver both individual and group therapy.
  • Provide clients with tools and strategies to manage their conditions, fostering their personal growth and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR), documenting client progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with ethical guidelines and legal requirements.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development activities to stay current with best practices in mental health care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working with a diverse clientele, including individuals struggling with various mental health challenges such as anxiety disorders, mood disorders, addiction issues, and other psychological difficulties. You will provide culturally competent care, recognizing and respecting the unique backgrounds of each client, and adapting your therapeutic approaches accordingly to ensure inclusive and effective treatment.

Qualifications
  • A valid and current license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Colorado.
  • A bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field from an accredited institution; however, a master's degree is preferred.
  • At least four years of experience in a clinical counseling setting with a strong background in mental health.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of various mental health disorders and evidence-based therapeutic methods.
  • Excellent crisis intervention skills and an ability to work effectively with clients in distressing situations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and adaptability to build rapport with a wide range of clients.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems and proficiency in computer applications for documentation and communication.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience providing therapy to clients from diverse cultural backgrounds, utilizing culturally responsive practices.
  • Prior exposure to group therapy facilitation and community-based mental health initiatives.
  • Additional certifications in specialized therapeutic modalities (e.g., trauma-informed care, DBT, CBT) are advantageous.
