Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health needs through comprehensive interviews and standardized tools.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans that include evidence-based interventions tailored to each client's unique circumstances.
  • Conduct regular therapy sessions, utilizing techniques appropriate for individual and group counseling, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based approaches, and motivational interviewing.
  • Educate clients on coping strategies and tools to enhance their mental well-being and encourage personal growth.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists and primary care providers, to ensure holistic treatment approaches and referrals when necessary.
  • Document all interactions and treatment progress in electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with privacy laws and professional standards.
  • Participate in regular clinical supervision and team meetings, contributing insights and learning from peers to continually improve practice.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Centuria Behavioral Health Center, you will work with a diverse range of clients suffering from various mental health issues, including but not limited to substance abuse disorders, anxiety, depression, and eating disorders. Your expertise in understanding and treating these conditions will be crucial in helping clients navigate their challenges and achieve long-term recovery.

Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in Pennsylvania.
  • A minimum of four years of direct clinical experience in mental health counseling.
  • Exceptional knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the capacity to build trusting relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficient with EHR systems and the ability to integrate technology in counseling practices.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in delivering both individual and group therapy, employing culturally responsive and inclusive methodologies.
  • Proven crisis intervention skills, allowing for effective de-escalation of potentially volatile situations.
  • Strong commitment to maintaining professional ethics, confidentiality, and boundaries in client interactions.
  • Adeptness at fostering collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
Compensation and Benefits
