Job description

Sr. Dynamics 365 Administrator
Are you a Dynamics 365 expert who takes pride in owning a platform end-to-end — from configuration and security to releases and user enablement? Do you thrive at the intersection of business needs and technical solutions, and enjoy helping an organization get the most out of its CRM investment? Are you looking to use your skills in a Christian environment with like-minded believers who share your values?
Ligonier Ministries, a Christian non-profit organization, is seeking a talented Sr. Dynamics 365 Administrator for the Enterprise Applications team. In this senior-level role, you will serve as the primary owner and hands-on administrator of our Dynamics 365 customer engagement platform — driving platform health, governance, and adoption across the ministry.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary administrator and system owner for Dynamics 365 customer engagement apps, including Sales, Customer Service, Contact Center, and Customer Insights.
  • Own day-to-day administration and configuration: forms, views, dashboards, business rules, security roles, business units, and solution management.
  • Manage platform releases and changes: evaluate updates, coordinate testing in non-production environments, plan deployments, and ensure operational readiness.
  • Monitor and maintain platform health, leading root-cause resolution for Dynamics 365-related issues.
  • Translate business needs into technical builds — including Dynamics 365 configurations and Power Automate flows — while balancing interoperability, performance, and usability.
  • Partner with implementation vendors to deliver D365 workstreams, including requirements clarification, configuration validation, UAT, and cutover readiness.
  • Provide Tier 1–3 support for Dynamics 365 tickets: intake, triage, troubleshooting, and root-cause resolution.
  • Establish and maintain Power Platform governance: environment strategy, access standards, and ALM guardrails.
  • Create and maintain SOPs, how-to articles, FAQs, and runbooks for Dynamics 365 and Power Platform usage.
  • Implement and maintain Dynamics 365/Dataverse security controls and ensure compliance with GDPR/PCI standards.
  • Exercise informal technical leadership, mentor team members, and make strategic recommendations to advance Ligonier's goals.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience administering Dynamics 365 CE apps: Sales, Customer Service, Contact Center, and Customer Insights.
  • 3+ years supporting CRMs in mission-driven or nonprofit contexts (fundraising, donor development, and gift processing).
  • Experience with complex Dynamics 365 implementations, including partner-led delivery and post-go-live optimization.
  • Experience governing the Power Platform and leveraging Power Automate and Power Apps in Dynamics 365.
  • Knowledge of privacy and data compliance standards, including GDPR.
  • Ability to independently balance production support and project work simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Leverages generative AI solutions for productivity and efficiency.
  • Microsoft certifications related to Dynamics 365 or Power Platform are a plus.
  • A Bachelor's degree in IT, MIS, Computer Science, or a related field is a plus.
  • Agreement with Ligonier's General Statement of Faith.

Competencies
  • Communicates clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing; proficient in creating technical documentation and knowledge-based articles.
  • Serves others with outstanding customer service skills; driven and focused under pressure.
  • Entrepreneurial disposition — always seeking ways to increase efficiency; meticulous, adaptable, and resourceful.
  • Exercises leadership without formal authority; provides technical mentorship to team members.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; superb at dealing with ambiguity; takes initiative and makes responsible decisions.
  • Passionate about helping teammates and end users succeed.
