Job description

Role Summary
Weatherford is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the execution of its Real-Time Operations Center initiative. This role will be responsible for coordinating and driving delivery across IT infrastructure, software applications, data platforms, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions that support remote operations and real-time decision-making.

The Project Manager will act as the central owner for project execution, task tracking, dependency management, stakeholder communication, and business alignment across multiple business groups including Drilling Services, Wireline, Integrated Services, and other operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the overall RTOC project plan, milestones, risks, dependencies, and delivery cadence. 
  • Coordinate activities across IT infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, software development, data engineering, analytics, and AI solution teams. 
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand priorities, manage expectations, and ensure project outcomes align with operational needs. 
  • Track and drive completion of tasks related to RTOC room setup, connectivity, application access, data integration, dashboards, AI use cases, and operational workflows. 
  • Facilitate regular project governance meetings, status updates, issue resolution, and executive reporting. 
  • Ensure clear ownership, accountability, and follow-through across internal teams, vendors, and business groups. 
  • Partner with technical teams to translate business requirements into executable workstreams. 
  • Identify risks early, escalate blockers, and ensure timely decision-making. 
  • Support change management, rollout planning, user readiness, and adoption across geozones and operational teams. 
  • Maintain documentation including project plans, RAID logs, action trackers, status reports, and leadership updates. 

Required Experience

  • 8+ years of project management experience, preferably in IT, digital transformation, operations technology, or oilfield services. 
  • Experience managing cross-functional programs involving infrastructure, applications, data, analytics, or AI solutions. 
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across business, technical, and executive audiences. 
  • Proven ability to manage complex initiatives with multiple teams, dependencies, and competing priorities. 
  • Experience with project governance, executive reporting, risk management, and delivery tracking. 
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Familiarity with Agile, hybrid, and traditional project delivery methods. 

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in oil and gas, drilling, wireline, production operations, or remote operations centers. 
  • Exposure to real-time data systems, industrial applications, dashboards, cloud platforms, AI/ML solutions, or operational analytics. 
  • Experience working with global teams and distributed delivery models. 
  • PMP, Scrum Master, or equivalent project management certification preferred. 

Key Success Measures

  • RTOC project milestones delivered on time and with clear ownership. 
  • Strong alignment between IT, digital, and business stakeholders. 
  • Risks and dependencies proactively managed. 
  • Business groups have clear visibility into progress, decisions, and expected outcomes. 
  • RTOC solutions are delivered in a scalable, supportable, and operationally useful way. 

Travel Requirement: This role may require domestic and potentially international travel of up to:  <10%
