The Good Hope Psychotherapy Center is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our remote outpatient team in Houston, Texas. This role is structured to allow for remote work, providing flexibility while maintaining the professionalism and integrity expected in a therapeutic setting. • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health status through interviews and standardized assessment tools.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aimed at addressing each client’s specific challenges and mental health conditions.
• Provide ongoing support through regular therapy sessions, facilitating both individual and group therapy as appropriate.
• Utilize appropriate therapeutic techniques to tackle issues such as anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and eating disorders.
• Effectively utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to document sessions, track client progress, and manage treatment plans.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure comprehensive client care.
• Educate clients on coping strategies and skills, empowering them to take control of their mental health journey.

Our clients come from diverse backgrounds and experience a range of mental health challenges. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will work with individuals suffering from mood disorders, anxiety-related issues, trauma, and substance use disorders. It is essential to build rapport and trust with clients, as the therapeutic relationship is foundational to successful outcomes.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid state license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW is essential.
• A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience in the mental health field.
• A comprehensive understanding of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and ethical practices in therapy.
• Experience in providing both individual and group therapy in a culturally responsive manner.
• Strong crisis intervention skills and the ability to effectively manage challenging situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster meaningful interactions with clients.
• Proficiency in EHR systems and familiarity with remote counseling technologies.

• Experience in telehealth services and virtual therapy sessions.
• Advanced training in specific therapeutic techniques such as CBT, DBT, or trauma-informed care.
• Prior experience working within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
