Position Overview

Good Hope Psychotherapy Center is excited to announce an opening for a full-time Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) to join our dedicated team in Amarillo, Texas. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of clients' mental health status through individual sessions.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based therapeutic techniques aimed at addressing the specific issues faced by clients.
  • Provide regular follow-up sessions to monitor client progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and offer actionable tools and coping strategies to support their journey.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in adherence to HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists and medical professionals, to ensure comprehensive care and appropriate referrals when necessary.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training to stay abreast of the latest clinical practices and therapeutic techniques.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will support a varied patient population, including individuals with mental health diagnoses such as anxiety disorders, major depressive disorder, PTSD, substance use disorders, and eating disorders. Your ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds will be pivotal in providing effective, culturally competent care. You will be instrumental in creating a safe space for clients to explore their life challenges and develop healthier coping mechanisms.

Qualifications
  • A master's or doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • Minimum of four years of clinical experience providing direct counseling services.
  • Strong theoretical foundation in mental health disorders and therapeutic modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, allowing you to communicate effectively and build rapport with diverse clientele.
  • Proficient in using EHR software and other technological applications to document client interactions and manage case files efficiently.
  • A commitment to ethical practices and maintaining confidentiality in all client interactions.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with both individual and group therapy settings, demonstrating versatility in therapeutic approaches.
  • Proven crisis intervention skills, with the ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.
  • A background in working with marginalized communities and understanding the socio-cultural factors influencing mental health.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary in the range of USD 70,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a supportive salary structure, our benefits package includes:
