Position Overview

Bedford Healthcare Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for a full-time position within our remote Detox Center. This role is pivotal in delivering comprehensive mental health and substance abuse services to a diverse patient population, specifically focusing on individuals navigating the challenges of detoxification and recovery. The selected candidate will utilize their clinical expertise to enhance patient care, assessments, and treatment plans, providing essential support in a remote work setting.

Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility while ensuring that the highest standards of patient care are maintained. The role requires regular communication with both patients and the healthcare team, utilizing telehealth capabilities to conduct assessments, provide counseling, and document progress. As we prioritize a collaborative approach, virtual meetings and case conferences will be integral to the work. This position operates under a Monday to Friday schedule, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments for mental health, substance abuse, and medical needs in a primary care environment while ensuring cultural appropriateness.
  • Deliver therapeutic behavioral health services, including counseling for individuals, couples, and families, focusing on mental health assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, and crisis intervention.
  • Facilitate referrals to community agencies and local resources, including medication assistance programs, ensuring patients receive the necessary support for their recovery journey.
  • Maintain meticulous electronic records of mental health evaluations, progress notes, and risk assessments to support coordinated care.
  • Engage with Quality Improvement teams to develop and implement data collection processes aimed at continuous improvement of service delivery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker will primarily work with individuals experiencing substance use disorders, mental health challenges, and co-occurring disorders. Our patient population includes adults from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds, each requiring tailored therapeutic interventions and culturally competent care to facilitate their recovery.

Qualifications
  • A current LCSW license in the state of California is mandatory.
  • Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work with a minimum of three years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of counseling techniques, crisis intervention strategies, and the ability to make independent clinical judgments to benefit direct service clients.
  • Proficiency in group facilitation and the ability to contribute to team planning processes effectively.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in detox centers or addiction treatment environments is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems for efficient patient documentation and care coordination.
  • Previous involvement with interdisciplinary teams focused on improving patient outcomes.
Compensation and Benefits
