About the Role
Hello Heart is looking for an experienced Director Technical Operations to lead the execution of hardware programs from early concept through mass production. Reporting into our Senior Director, Product and Manufacturing Operations, you will partner across Product, Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to drive alignment, manage complexity, and deliver high-quality connected health products at scale.
This role is ideal for someone who combines deep hardware development experience with exceptional cross-functional leadership and operational rigor. You should thrive in fast-moving environments, proactively identify risks, and use AI fluently to improve execution, automate workflows, and increase team efficiency.
Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end hardware program execution from feasibility through mass production
  • Build and maintain integrated program plans across hardware, firmware, validation, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain functions
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Firmware, Operations, Quality, and external manufacturing partners
  • Own program schedules, milestones, dependencies, and risk management throughout the full product lifecycle
  • Coordinate EVT, DVT, PVT, and production readiness activities to ensure programs stay on track
  • Identify risks early, drive decision-making, and resolve blockers to maintain execution momentum
  • Partner with contract manufacturers and suppliers to support build readiness, production validation, and manufacturing ramp
  • Establish scalable processes, communication cadences, and execution frameworks that improve operational efficiency
  • Use AI tools proactively to streamline program management workflows, automate repetitive tasks, improve reporting, and accelerate execution
  • Build and maintain no-code AI workflows, automations, or agents that improve productivity, planning accuracy, risk tracking, documentation, and team coordination
Qualifications
  • Strong AI fluency with demonstrated ability building no-code AI workflows, automations, or AI agents that improve operational execution and team effectiveness
  • 10+ years of experience in hardware product development, technical program management, or related technical operations roles
  • Proven track record of delivering physical products from concept through mass production
  • Deep understanding of EVT, DVT, PVT, manufacturing validation, and production ramp processes
  • Strong technical background across hardware systems, firmware integration, manufacturing workflows, and supply chain operations
  • Experience with PCB and PCBA development, validation testing, tooling, packaging, and factory processes
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers, suppliers, and globally distributed cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational leadership skills
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with detailed execution in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience within medical device, digital health, consumer electronics, or other regulated hardware environments is preferred
  • Ability to travel internationally (approximately 20~30%)

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $170,000 to $195,000. Salary ranges are determined by role and level. Compensation is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
