The American Diabetes Association (ADA) is seeking a Manager, Professional Engagement to join the Science and Health Care team.The Manager, Professional Engagement is a grant-funded position that will support the work of ADA staff teams aligned with its professional services programs with a primary focus on supporting the ADA's Professional Education programs. Specific support will include coordination of activities and management of virtual and in-person professional education programs. RESPONSIBILITIES Work closely with speakers for webinars and in-person events including invitations, content development, promotion, execution, reporting, and processing honoraria Oversee accreditation responsibilities for education programs Manage post-event analysis, including budget reconciliations, invoice management, and knowledge assessments Create and monitor registration for attendees and provide customer service to registrants Update templated marketing materials, including websites, and work with stakeholders to implement promotion strategies Serve as logistics contact during in-person events and virtual programs, including managing on-site vendors, webinar vendor and acting as the main point of contact for speakers Coordinate Professional Engagement Networking including promotions, in-person activities, logistics, networking events, and meetings Manage professional membership committee and Advisory Groups for assigned programs Work with speakers to develop course content, including session descriptions, learning objectives, slide and program guide design development Support the Professional Member engagement online forum Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors degree required Minimum of 3 years of event management experience Strong time management skills Experience managing multiple, concurrent projects in a matrix organization Experience with collecting and analyzing data and writing reports Demonstrated ability to achieve outcomes while responding to changing circumstances and priorities Demonstrated ability to problem solve Strong oral and written communication and presentation and interpersonal skills to help build and manage team productivity /cohesion Enjoys working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities Adept at using Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based applications, experience in learning management systems, Zoom, and Cvent a plus WHY WORK HERE The American Diabetes Association (ADA) offers a rewarding career working for one of the premier voluntary health organizations in the world supporting people with type 1, type 2 and gestational diabetes
