Job description

Position Overview

Gotham Enterprises Ltd is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Dietitian to join our outpatient specialty clinic located in the vibrant city of Miami, Florida. This full-time, remote role will focus on diabetes management and nutrition therapy, providing you with an opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of individuals living with diabetes and related conditions. Your expertise in evidence-based dietary guidance will be essential in empowering our patients to achieve their health goals.

About the Organization

At Gotham Enterprises Ltd, we are a leading outpatient specialty clinic that prides itself on offering innovative nutrition care. Our mission is to promote health and wellness through personalized dietary interventions, tailored specifically for those with diabetes and other metabolic disorders. We have built a reputation for excellence, leveraging a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, collaborating with endocrinologists, certified diabetes educators, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and high-quality services.

Work Environment

This position allows for remote work flexibility within a supportive team environment. While most of your day-to-day responsibilities can be conducted from home, you will still be an integral part of our clinic's operations. Our team utilizes state-of-the-art telehealth technology and electronic health records (EHR) systems to efficiently manage patient interactions, assessments, and documentation, ensuring seamless communication among healthcare providers as well as with patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough nutrition assessments for patients, utilizing evidence-based methodologies and tools to gather data on medical history, dietary habits, and lifestyle factors.
  • Develop customized care plans focusing on medical nutrition therapy, with particular attention to achieving optimal blood glucose management for patients with diabetes.
  • Deliver personalized nutrition counseling, educating patients and their families on disease prevention, management techniques, and the importance of adherence to dietary recommendations.
  • Continuously monitor and assess patients' progress, making necessary adjustments to care plans and collaborating closely with other healthcare providers to ensure a holistic approach to treatment.
  • Perform nutrition-focused physical examinations and analyze biochemical data to gain insights into patients' nutritional status.
  • Actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, sharing insights and coordinating care with physicians, nurses, and other specialists.
  • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records of patient interactions and progress notes in compliance with healthcare regulations, using our EHR system.
  • Stay informed on the latest research, guidelines, and best practices in nutrition, integrating this knowledge into the care you provide.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve patients living with diabetes and related metabolic disorders, providing them with the support they need to navigate their health challenges. Your role is critical in not just managing their conditions through nutrition but also enhancing their overall quality of life by fostering healthy lifestyle changes and providing emotional support.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  • Active state licensure or eligibility to practice as a Dietitian/Nutritionist in Florida.
  • Comprehensive understanding of nutrition science, dietary guidelines, and the principles of medical nutrition therapy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with diverse patient populations.
Preferred Experience

While we value candidates from various backgrounds, experience working specifically with diabetes patients and familiarity with telehealth services will distinguish applicants. Additionally, proficiency with EHR systems and data analytics in clinical settings would be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $50,000 โ€“ $70,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications, along with performance-based bonuses. Additional benefits include:

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans.
  • A robust retirement savings plan with employer matching contributions.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) policies along with holiday leave.
  • Continuous education opportunities with financial support for professional development and certification renewals.
  • A nurturing work environment that prioritizes your professional growth and enhances work-life balance.
Career Growth Opportunities

As a key member of our team, you will have access to ongoing professional development and leadership training. We encourage our dietitians to pursue specialized certifications and advanced placements within our organization. This role provides a pathway to advancing into leadership positions within clinical nutrition or healthcare management, offering you further opportunities for career progression and personal achievement.

Why Join Our Team

At Gotham Enterprises Ltd, you will become part of a passionate team dedicated to making a real difference in the health of our community. We pride ourselves on fostering an inclusive and dynamic work culture that values collaboration, innovation, and a shared commitment to improving patient outcomes. Join us in our mission to empower patients through top-tier nutritional care.
