• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for elderly patients, focusing on their psychological, social, and physical health needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the cognitive and emotional requirements of older adults.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual and family therapy, while tracking patient progress.
• Engage in crisis intervention as necessary to support patients experiencing acute mental health issues.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment paths, and available community support resources.
• Maintain comprehensive and confidential documentation adhering to established legal and ethical standards.
• Actively participate in continuous education activities, keeping abreast of the latest advancements in geriatric psychology.
• Collaborate effectively with geriatric psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to foster a holistic approach to treatment.

Your primary focus will be on the geriatric population, addressing an array of mental health challenges including depression, anxiety, trauma, and dementia-related disorders. Your role will be critical in providing support to elderly individuals, facilitating their journey towards improved mental wellness, and empowering them to manage their health and emotional needs proactively.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Texas is required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with older adults and their families.
• Knowledge of geriatric mental health disorders and applicable treatment modalities.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant software.
• A patient-centered approach, exhibiting empathy and active listening skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle a diverse client schedule.

• A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting working with geriatric clients is preferred.
• Experience implementing evidence-based therapeutic methods in individual and family settings.
• Familiarity with crisis intervention scenarios, particularly those involving older adults.

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 75,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience.
