• Conduct thorough mental health assessments that address the complex needs of elderly patients, including their cognitive, social, and physical health aspects.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans that are evidence-based and sensitive to the unique circumstances of each patient.
• Utilize various therapeutic modalities to deliver effective individual and family therapy sessions, focusing on issues such as depression, anxiety, and dementia-related disorders.
• Collaborate with our seasoned geriatric psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Provide crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies, ensuring rapid and effective responses to patient needs.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment strategies, and available community resources to empower them in their mental health journeys.
• Maintain updated and confidential patient documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Participate actively in team discussions, which include case consultations and professional development programs, promoting continuous learning and improvement.
• Stay informed about the latest trends and research in geriatric mental health treatment practices, integrating this knowledge into your care delivery.

This role focuses primarily on the geriatric population, addressing mental health concerns integral to their age group, such as depression, anxiety, grief, and dementia-related issues. Your expertise will have a direct impact on improving the emotional and psychological well-being of elderly patients, particularly those facing challenging life transitions and health changes.

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Possession of a current and valid license as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Psychologist in the state of California is essential.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, ideally with a focus on geriatric populations.

• Proven experience delivering therapeutic interventions to elderly patients, with a strong grasp of various geriatric mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methods is ideal.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, showcasing your ability to connect empathetically with patients and their families.
• Competence in utilizing EHR systems and technology to facilitate patient care and documentation efficiently.
• A collaborative spirit and the ability to function effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

The annual salary for this full-time position ranges from $115,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience.
