Overview
Role Summary
The Manager, Video & Photo Production owns the end-to-end production function for EIM's video and photography efforts, overseeing planning, execution, and delivery across the Evidence In Motion brand and its university partner initiatives. This role is accountable for production strategy, workflows, timelines, and on-location execution to ensure high-quality visual content is delivered consistently and efficiently.
This role is responsible for setting production standards, managing multiple concurrent projects, and serving as the primary production lead for complex shoots, partner engagements, and events. While this role may support capture when needed, its primary focus is production leadership, orchestration, and delivery, not post-production editing.
This role supports multiple active programs and partners simultaneously, balancing new program launches with ongoing content needs in a fast-paced environment.
We offer outstanding benefits:
  • 401k with a match
  • Health/dental/vision coverage
  • Company paid life insurance

  • Act as the escalation point for production risks, resourcing challenges, and on-site decision-making
  • Drive production strategy that supports creative scalability, partner satisfaction, and business priorities
  • Manages and optimizes timelines across a portfolio of simultaneous video and photo shoots, proactively identifying risks, dependencies, and resource constraints.

Production Planning & Project Management
  • Manage end-to-end production projects from intake through final delivery
  • Lead pre-production planning including timelines, budgets, scopes, shot lists, locations, and logistics
  • Coordinate schedules across internal teams, partners, talent, and external resources when applicable
  • Ensure projects remain on track, within scope, and aligned to creative and business goals
  • Proactively assess production feasibility, tradeoffs, and resourcing needs during campaign and launch planning

Pre-Production & On-Set Leadership
  • Develop production briefs and requirements in partnership with the Creative Lead and marketing teams
  • Oversee coordination of locations, equipment, talent, and travel logistics
  • Serve as on-site production lead for priority shoots, ensuring alignment with plan and creative intent
  • Troubleshoot issues in real time and make execution decisions in fast-paced environments
  • Represent the Creative Services team as the senior production authority in the field

Cross-Functional & Team Collaboration
  • Partner closely with the Video & Photo Editor to ensure smooth transition from production to post-production
  • Collaborate with designers, writers, program marketing, and communications teams to ensure content supports campaign needs
  • Coordinate with video/photo producers or contractors as needed to scale production capacity
  • Act as the production subject-matter expert within Creative Services
  • Embed production leadership within cross-functional creative pods supporting major program launches and campaigns

Workflow, Standards & Process Improvement

  • Define production standards, documentation, and expectations for quality and consistency
  • Track production timelines and delivery metrics to improve predictability and efficiency
  • Identify opportunities to improve tools, processes, and resourcing models
  • Champion continuous improvement across Creative Services production operations

Travel & Field Leadership
  • Travel regularly to manage on-location shoots, partner visits, and events
  • Represent Creative Services professionally with university partners, faculty, executives, and stakeholders
  • Ensure a consistent, high-quality production experience across locations and teams

  • Ability to manage multiple projects across different stages of production simultaneously
  • Working knowledge of production workflows, equipment, and creative tools (hands-on editing not required)
  • Comfort operating autonomously with clear accountability for outcomes
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly
  • Experience operating in fast-paced, multi-brand or agency-style environments strongly preferred

What Success Looks Like
  • Production projects are well planned, calmly executed, and delivered on time
  • Clear ownership and accountability across video and photo initiatives
  • Fewer last-minute surprises and stronger production predictability
  • High-quality, on-brand visual content that supports marketing, partner, and business goals
  • Creative teams and stakeholders trust production to "just work"

Nice to Have Skills
  • Experience supporting higher education, healthcare, or academic programs, particularly lab, clinical, or instructional environments
