Registered Nurse - Review Analyst | Remote | Contract
Walker Healthforce is seeking a Registered Nurse - Review Analyst with 2-4 years of clinical experience to provide clinical review of healthcare services to ensure medical necessity and appropriate levels of care. This is a Contract opportunity.
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Remote
Hours/Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours
Worker Type: W2
Core Requirements:
  • 2-4 years of clinical experience, which may include acute patient care, discharge planning, case management, and utilization review
  • Current unrestricted Michigan Registered Nurse license
  • Demonstrated clinical knowledge and experience related to patient care and healthcare delivery processes
  • Above-average computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to perform clinical reviews for medical necessity and appropriate level of care
We Consider It A Bonus If You Also Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, allied health, business, or related field
  • One year of health insurance plan or managed care experience
  • Clinical experience in an ICU, ER, or medical-surgical unit
  • Utilization management experience
  • Certification in Case Management
Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform prospective, concurrent, and retrospective reviews of healthcare services.
  • Evaluate inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory, and ancillary services for medical necessity.
  • Assess appropriate length of stay, intensity of service, and level of care.
  • Review appeal requests initiated by providers, facilities, and members.
  • May establish care plans and coordinate care throughout the healthcare continuum.
  • May perform member outreach assessments.
