Job description

Salary: Based on experience

Frazier Construction, LLC is seeking an experienced Traveling Construction Superintendent to support significant growth and expansion. Supervises and coordinates activities of subcontractors on job sites. Oversee multiple subcontractors; determine the appropriate material and manpower requirements to ensure a good rate of production and efficiency.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor and evaluate all site activities for optimal efficiencies and productivity.
  • Establish processes and procedures to maximize effectiveness of operations.
  • Ensure subcontractors' capabilities meet project needs.
  • Implement and evaluate quality control measures to ensure and support commitment to excellence.
  • Provide leadership by setting examples for professionalism, work ethics, and integrity.
  • Evaluate production and quality of work on assigned projects.
  • Interpret submittals and job orders as needed for the project.
  • Assemble procurement orders for materials, equipment and tools required at each project commencement,
  • Establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedule, using knowledge of capacities of equipment and assigned personnel.
  • Must complete spec work for fittings, fans, dampers, air distribution, plumbing, flooring, drywall, pipefitting, etc.
  • Provide feedback to personnel to communicate their progress and/or areas of needed improvement.
  • Determine labor needs for each project and implement an effective manpower plan to meet project needs and schedule.
  • Utilizes experience to help guide foremen ensuring safe work practices and rate of productivity.
  • Differentiate between contract work and work that would be considered in addition to the contract.
  • Interpret drawings and specifications and relay information to Foreman and the work crew to produce a finished product.
  • Communicate with Foreman and work crew on what is expected of them and ensure that instructions are understood.
  • Ensure that proper work quality is achieved and instill pride in subordinates for work quality.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems.
  • Coordinate with supervisory personnel to meet project needs for design, coordination, and fabrication drawings.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with other managers within scope of the project.
  • Emphasize and promote team approach to resolving issues.
  • Provide estimating feedback for project procurement as required.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with the customer through effective and open communication.
  • Coordinate manpower, tools, rental equipment and material deliveries.
  • Enforce company policies and safety regulations are adhered to.
  • Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Minimum five years Commercial Contracting field experience, with three years Foreman Trade level experience.
  • Proficient in Procore preferred but not necessary.
  • Works skillfully with tools, metals and machines.
  • Visualize three-dimensional objects from drawings, sketches or blueprints.
  • Work within precise limits and standards.
  • Osha 30 Certified or within 6 months of hire date.
  • Rate information using measurable standards.
  • Understand English and follow and provide directives to assigned team members.
  • Safety Awareness Frazier Construction, LLC makes safety a priority for all roles. As such this role may contain certain PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) necessary and required in the performance of certain tasks. It is the responsibility of the incumbent in the role to ensure he/she has received all pertinent safety protective equipment and commits to use the same when performing in the role).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:(The minimum requirements for the role are specified and are necessary to succeed in the roles application of tasks).

  • Must be able to hear, and speak clearly with professional standard grammar.
  • Must use hands, fingers, arms and legs fully; kneel, crouch and crawl; climb and balance on ladders and scaffolds; climb stairs, reach overhead, push, pull, lift.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
