Can you make 200k a year in construction?

Remote construction remodeling professionals can potentially earn $200,000 or more annually, especially with extensive experience, specialized skills, project management roles, or owning a contracting business. Achieving this income often requires advanced certifications, a strong client network, and the ability to handle large or high-value projects. Income levels vary based on location, workload, and individual expertise.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Construction Remodeling Specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Construction Remodeling Specialist, you need expertise in construction methods, project management, and remodeling techniques, typically supported by relevant certifications or a background in construction. Familiarity with project management software, digital design tools (like AutoCAD or SketchUp), and virtual collaboration platforms is essential. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills help manage remote teams, client expectations, and project timelines. These skills and tools are crucial for ensuring high-quality remodels, efficient coordination, and client satisfaction in a remote work environment.

What is remote construction remodeling?

Remote construction remodeling refers to the process of renovating or updating buildings and homes while managing and coordinating the project from a distance, often using digital tools and technology. This approach allows project managers, designers, or contractors to oversee remodeling tasks, communicate with on-site teams, and monitor progress without being physically present at the job site. It typically involves virtual meetings, collaboration software, and real-time updates to ensure the project stays on track. Remote construction remodeling is especially useful for clients or professionals who cannot be on-site due to distance or time constraints. It helps streamline communication and project management, leading to efficient and successful remodels.

What jobs pay $500,000 a year in the US?

In the field of remote construction remodeling, high-paying roles such as senior project managers, construction executives, or specialized consultants can reach or exceed $500,000 annually, especially with experience, certifications, and leadership responsibilities. These roles often require extensive industry knowledge, management skills, and sometimes profit-sharing or bonuses. Most positions at this level are rare and typically involve overseeing large projects or running successful firms.

What jobs will be gone in the next 5 years?

In remote construction remodeling, roles that involve repetitive tasks or manual labor, such as basic carpentry or drywall installation, may decline as automation and prefabrication technologies advance. Additionally, positions that do not adapt to digital tools or sustainable practices could become less common over the next five years.

What jobs pay 4000 a week without a degree?

In remote construction remodeling, high-paying roles such as project managers or specialized tradespeople can earn around $4,000 weekly, especially with experience and certifications. These jobs often require skills in project coordination, carpentry, or electrical work, and may involve overseeing multiple projects or working with advanced tools and software.

What are some common challenges faced in remote construction remodeling roles, and how can they be addressed?

Remote construction remodeling professionals often encounter challenges such as coordinating teams and subcontractors across different locations and ensuring clear communication with clients. These challenges can be mitigated by using robust project management software, setting clear expectations with all stakeholders, and scheduling regular virtual check-ins. Adapting to new technologies and maintaining strong organization skills are also key to overcoming logistical hurdles and keeping projects on track.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage company-generated leads and conduct in-home consultations with homeowners.

  • Develop scopes, estimates, proposals, and manage a pipeline of projects through a multi-step sales cycle.

Job description

High-end projects. Real process. A team that really supports you.

Crossroads Contracting is hiring a Remodeling Sales Consultant to guide homeowners through the design-build process—from first conversation through signed construction agreement.

This is a consultative, relationship-driven role focused on larger, more complex remodeling projects—not quick, transactional sales.

What You’ll Do

·       Manage company-generated leads (no cold prospecting required)

·       Conduct in-home consultations and build client relationships

·       Guide homeowners through scope, budget, and feasibility

·       Sell and manage pre-construction agreements

·       Develop scopes, estimates, and proposals with team support

·       Present and close construction agreements

·       Manage a pipeline of projects in a multi-step sales cycle

What We’re Looking For

Strong candidates typically come from:

  • Remodeling or design-build sales
  • Residential project management (client-facing)
  • Interior design with budget/scope involvement
  • Construction or trades + strong people skills
  • In-home sales (with a consultative approach)

You’ll do well here if you can build trust, understand projects, and confidently discuss budget and scope with homeowners.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

·       Hybrid schedule – mix of in-home meetings, team collaboration, and remote work

·       Company-generated leads and steady pipeline

·       Work on larger, multi-space remodeling projects

·       Strong team support (design, drafting, production)

·       No high-pressure, one-call-close sales tactics

·       Stable company with long-tenured team members

What We Offer

·       $46,800 base salary + commission

·       $90,000 - $150,000+ average annual earnings

·       Strong earning potential tied to performance

·       Quarterly and year-end bonus opportunities

·       Gas allowance

·       Health insurance

·       401(K) with company match

·       Paid time off + paid holidays

Apply by submitting your resume.

Candidates with experience in remodeling sales, design-build sales, home improvement sales, residential project management, interior design, construction estimating, or in-home sales are especially encouraged to apply.

We have a formal recruiting process and have a relationship with Zephyr Connects LLC, whom we use for the screening and hiring process. If you are selected for the next step you will get instructions from Sara within 3 business days of your submission. Everyone will be contacted.
